We make a drinking game out of the execs saying âDay by dayâ and people are dying of alcohol poisoning, the poor store franchisees are nearly in tears saying their staff are terrified of coming in to work because theyâre being constantly exposed to grimy gremlins, people being abusive to them for staying open, having no hope theyâll still have jobs if they self-isolate and the Gamestop Execs being slimy pieces of taint-sweat using the most obnoxious political âYes but actually no.â speech to avoid actually giving any legally binding advice to their franchisees while demanding they stay open 24/7, accept all trades unless the objects are literally crusted with filth and that any staff-member who self-isolates is âchoosingâ to waive their wages for personal safety.
Here in denmark where I live everything is pretty much dead now (as In closed down 
) The government even gone as fare as to force close all non essential businesses. And when it comes to eating places only take out and take away is open. On top of that all social gatherings over ten people are finned with equivalent of 215USD if its a business. If itâs say 12 people hanging out in a park they each get the fine of 215⌠And everyone have been asked to self isolated. My area are normally on sunny days buzzing with the sound of playing kids but now its just dead quite⌠To be honest itâs getting a tad scary.
I still canât find toilet paper anywhere. 
Did you see the suggestion above to try office supply stores? They have TP for office buildings and whatnot in the big rolls.
Also try asian markets, they may have regular supplies on top of the cultural things.

YeahâŚmy next-door neighbor (in an apartment building) is saying the same thing. She just got back from a âspring breakâ type party in Georgia, and before that was out of the country for like a week, in cancun I think?
Anywho, sheâs having a great time, inviting a bunch of friends over every night, etc.
I have surgery on Wednesday and if I get sick theyâll cancel it, so every time I have to go in or out of the apartment building for any reason Iâm like using a paper towel to open/close the door lol.

That is actually an effective thing to do. When I worked in FL, we had a really bad cleaning crew who used the same rag to wipe down everything in the bathroom. Everything. And we all got sick. No one in management did anything. But then one of the older women came up with using a paper towel to turn off the faucet and open the bathroom door, and then throw away the towel. Illness dropped immediately.

That trick is something I learned at a young age for public bathrooms actually. Really disappointing that the management didnât fire the cleaning crew though.
Yeeaaahh the Quebec government isnt gonna listen to federal (Canada) when it comes to shutdowns and while we had out college and university shutdown until March 30th, itâs not looking like its going to happen as the cases day by day start increasing, even with all of us self-isolating.
Like im surprised how on the ball the Quebec gov is on this, but its quite frustrating as between school stress (last semester, do we graduate? do we just redo the semester again in september? wtf do we do?) and my own workplace saying theyâre closed until the 30th and reopening after (donât think so chief) who knows will actually show up for their shifts asâŚitâs a toystore, like gamestop/ebgames is a surefire way to get colds/this virus from kids being gross and grimy.
My workplace closed on the 17th and as of now weâre not going back in until the 31st.
Iâm grateful to have a job where Iâm getting paid administrative leave, but Iâm already boredâŚbored enough to resub to WoW, even!
Maybe thisâll give me time to work on that dwarf character I always wanted to play.
So, another update for me.
School has gone entirely online for the rest of the semester, and commencement ceremony was canceled, which means I donât get to walk at graduation. Professors are having us use Google Meet, which I guess is okay but I feel like we donât need to be that way. Oh well, Iâm just the student.
School being online means Iâm out of a student tutoring job, and now with work down to personnel with families to support over those without/those who have a second job, I have to rely on my GI Bill money.
This isâŚwell, itâs going to get rough. My thoughts are with those who have to deal with the virus and the shenanigans going on because of it.

Yeah I think online tutoring is especially needed right now.
I used to visit the physics tutor each week, at the beginning of this semester, and now suddenly that resource is not available to me. They are saying that classes will be online for the rest of the semester (even the chem/bio labs! Not sure how thatâs gonna work out).
But the tutoring is the thing I miss the most, because I was having trouble understanding what the heck the teacher was talking about (embarrassingly, this is basic physics, lol).
I also used Google Meet for the first time a few days ago. Took a couple min to get used to, but it can probably work.
And hey, who knows, maybe a whole new era of education is currently being born and worked out right now! Could be a silver lining.

I like this idea, but one of the issues is that I was paid for roughly 6 hours a week. The department hasnât put out any guidance, but I have a feeling itâll be âhey thanks for your time but nahâ when it comes to this. The school actually got in the news because it wouldnât allow students to grab their stuff from their dorms during the break after it came out we would be switching to online studies; its a private university with students from around the country so some of those guys are stuck in unfortunate circumstances.
Add to that, Iâve had 1 student come and see me in two semesters as a Criminal Justice and Social Work tutor so

My county has 1 confirmed case so far but now that kits are out there will probably be more confirmed cases.
Bought one of the last bottles of hand soap at Walmart yesterday, so that was a nice surprise to get.

Still, you should look into online tutoring thatâs not related to your college. Just online tutoring in general! Having history in tutoring will likely help you get into one of the programs.
I always suspected my downstairs neighbour smoked in their bathroom because it comes up threw the vent into mine. Which they only really did when the weather was bad so I didnât really care that much, my parents smoked growing up so I donât notice cigarette smoke as much but lately theyâve been doing it on the reg with all the virus stuff happening. Which is starting to make my place stink like cigarettes so Iâm probably gonna narc to the manager about it.
Once or twice while the weather is bad, sure whatever, Iâm not really bothered but every smoke now itâs getting annoying.
