Covenants and Gatekeeping

Wildstar had some potential, wish they laxed up a little. Curious what would of happened had they actually gave in to some demands.

I try, I often get critized for being an elitist just because I do the content and I have fun doing it. xd

I wish they went a compromise route, but it never seemed an option for them.

It’s all or nothing.
“ALL IN” then stand up from Blizzard.

For me it’s just a fold.

Blizzard’s idea of compromising is often worse then the original sin. are you sure you really want that? lol.

I way prefer pathfinder to no flying.

Corruption to Titanforging?

Actually yes. If it was better balanced, and couldve been better tuned.
Because corruption actually has more customization options and has gameplay with it with negative effects. If it wasn,t for corruption Nyalotha wouldve been really bland.

Then I stand corrected. It’s just when people talk about the compromises Blizzard makes it’s usually with a certain type of seething hatred that you would only see from the dreaded Sith Lord, the Mother-in-law.

There’s always a cost to compromise. That for sure is the bad part, and Blizzard always remind us of it.xd
A compromise isn’t perfect by definition, but it also means that it’s not the worse. It’s just something that everybody can live with.

Speaking of flight…

The shadowlands map looks disgusting. Truly vile. I mean the areas look pretty but the map… This is the worst map we had sense TBC and I don’t even think you can manually fly between the zones. They are using that crappy teleport mechanism they used for the Argus patch of legion. Just…gross.

They said you’ll have ways to basicly port in the map. Venthyr will do this.
Each covenants will have a special set of way to travel.

A bit like the whistle, the whistle was a great invention tbh.

I don’t feel personnaly that I need flying, but I like flying still.

The narrative is supposed to be that we’re just gaining access to parts of the shadowlands and that its too vast.

Yeah but… You can’t just get on your mount and fly. Idk, I like flying between zones sometimes. It’s tranquil. Taking that away just feels nasty. Big part of why I hated Argus.

I feel for smaller zones no flying can work really good like Isle of Thunder. More if you also want people to wpvp in there.

But yea for most wqs type of content flying is amazing.

They did. The issue was the faction split and way too many servers and marketing was trash.

What? Wildstar had the best marketing on the market. I freaking loved those funny freaking commercials.

Also didnt help that the combat was utter garbage.

From what I gathered they are worried they might actually have to play the game to unlock all their covenants goodies which they can’t do without paying someone else to do it for them.

The marketing was trash because they impressed upon people it was only for hardcore when it really wasn’t. It just required people to play semi decently to get silvers they really weren’t hard but so many of the playerbase felt oh I’m not hardcore so I can’t do it.

It appears that SL is gonna be another grind fest.
