Covenant Viability Chart

I am sure they will fix pandas cause there is no way they are going to let pandas be 7% better than everyone else.

Is this accurate? Night fae is not listed as mythic + / raid for restoration druid?

Seems… incorrect.
It seems weird that a channeled ability is listed as best for pvp…

hmmm the problem is the new stat nerf they decided to add in SL.

racials that add any sort of % stat are getting somewhat a nerf in the end… on top of this there’s a soulbind that increases the food buff by another 15%.

Unless they do something with that stat nerfs or they nerf the pandaren racial by like 75% it wont change much.

yeah it’s much much worse now the panda meta is real if it stays this way… not sure how they will get out of this one without messing things up further.

Ppl dont see the problem with locked covenant powers are trolls

It’s a chart for players who:

Are pugging
Not In Guilds
Optimizing

(Which is a lot of players)

Shadowlands…where you better have a guild where you can turn your brain off to all the other nonsense…and just go have fun with it.

For all the other world first and optimizzer peeps…they will follow the chart because they want to. And then re-roll later on when the chart becomes outdated, because that’s what they like doing.

Fairly certain chart isn’t right.

Night fae as a pvp ability for restoration? Makes zero sense.

Necrolord arms is left blank? Conq banner is like a mini bloodlust you carry around with you.

This chart assumes that everyone is Min-maxing all the time, or that their primary concern is “is this the best mathematical option for me”, and belies the fact that in all likelihood not even 20% of the games population cares that much about min-maxing.

But does that even make sense?
Convoke spirits as a pvp spell for restoration Druid makes zero sense. Channeled abilities can be interrupted.

The genual census is night fae is the only covenant for pve.

The ones that do care that much about min-maxing likely fall into one of 2 groups:

  1. the world first true elites, we are talking Method, Limit, etc. I.E. those that clear heroic first week and hit the ground running on Mythic, thing is this group makes the meta and knows when to BREAK the meta for their content.
  2. The wannabe elites, the ones that think normal and heroic, possibly even LFR, should be treated like Mythic. This group sees the meta as the be all, end all and heaven forbid if you break the meta, even if you are a member of the first group.

It definitely does. 12 spells over 4 seconds is 3 spells per second on average. A normal reaction time to a visual input is around .25 seconds. Factor in wow’s lag compression/compensation, your own latency, and the opponent’s latency and you can roughly expect to get 1/4th of the casts out before it is interrupted.

On a healer that’s 3-4 heals that are basically free in the time span of less than 1 regular one. It may not seem like much on paper, but in practice those 3-4 extra spells could make the difference.

That’s why I run with my guild and not PuGs.

Every guide suggests night fae is for pve.

Every single one

You speak only for yourself. As a single person, you don’t matter. When you attempt to influence other people to make bad decisions that may well cause them to leave the game, well. As I said before, your motivations are suspect.

See, I don’t think there is one correct way to play the game. I said that before. But you obviously do think that’s the case, because you feel the need to assign me motives and intent that clearly goes contrary to what I said, which was basically…

“If you are a low skilled player who plays for fun, you are under no obligation to change your skill level to satisfy obnoxious people who demand that you do.”

So you could go ahead and play the game however you want to without trying to convince casuals to make serious mistakes.

I know, it’s a blizz truism that people who play the game are stupid. They can’t tell whether they’re having fun or not unless they have you to tell them.

You don’t think too hard. Despite your 471 ilvl that you think makes you L33T, you don’t understand the most basic thing, which is that nobody you think you are influencing is reading what you wrote. Hardly anybody reads the forums anymore. It’s just trolls duking it out with each other, people who have already made up their minds and don’t care if you say something you think is really clever. Players will decide whether they are having fun or not without reading you telling them what fun is.

If they don’t think they’re having fun, you shouting to the wind isn’t going to change the fact that they’ll pull that ripcord of their own.

Balance Druids looking at Night Fae being their BiS covenant must be happy.
I know I am, Class Fantasy ftw

Guardian druids looking to reroll.

A lot of balance druids are not happy with the new gameplay.

Isnt the entire rotation for Balance druids like, 5 abilities at most?

it’s nice to be belf dh in SL. Just go venthyr for story, transmog and power

I hit a nerve? You expect everyone to validate some random chart from a random person? Lol.

I stand on my statement. I don’t care. If you allow a random group of “people” to dictate how you enjoy the game that is sad.

Wanting to make yourself better isn’t restricted to the cutting edge players. And wanting abilities that work well with your class/spec will affect everyone.
