Living in the south east and paying about 900-1300 for a ticket to fly to Blizzcon. Footing the bill for the hotel, about 200-230 per night, then getting your tickets. So you are now out 2k (minus food and transportation)...
Of course if you go with a significant other, just double that - 4k.

- Grab a flight on Aer Lingus or WOW over to Dublin for and stay for about 4-5 days. If I threw in another grand or so I could hop over to Paris for a day or 2 as well.
