Could we revive sindragosa?

Adventure Guide. Adventure Guide. Adventure Guide. Shift J. You can get all your weekly quests from it. You never have to go to an npc for those. Blue Dragonflight is there. Furbolg is there. Daycare is there. Adventure. Guide.

Ok, I’ve got an idea…

Not so much a revival, or resurrection but the Mechagnomes have made a mechanical dragon. Or at least the Steamscale Incinerator mount would suggest they are capable.

So what we do is get all the Gnomes working on a full adult dragon sized version and after we resurrect Tyr we download her simulacrum into it and get him to use one of the many Titan engines to give the simulacrum a massive boost, giving it true life. So we get a cybernetic magical AI Titan watcher dragon. Sindragosa 2.0.

That was where I originally thought they were going with the silver scale when they revealed it was instructions for a new body for Tyr

Sadly we are not in the timeline where Tyr decided becoming a robot dragon Watcher Aspect would be totally badass and so we got normal old statue man Tyr instead :dracthyr_shrug:

Finally, the Dracthyr find their purpose

In a world of magic anything is possible! But the ONLY way I could see this as possible is if they used a new blue Dragonflight egg, preferably one that “died” so the little soul has moved on, then through hella amounts of magic, they infused it with her simulacrum while also bringing it back to life. The new whelp hatches, but is a living version of the simulacrum.

I imagine there’s a possibility but that would mean a very WILLING sacrifice to take her. I imagine the idea would otherwise just simply have someone host the simulacrum. The weird and interesting situation right now is that she could be anywhere she pleases so long there’s a leyline to keep her going, assuming being a simulacrum require some sort of magic to maintain itself. And with SO much power just for having the Leyline, she could very well be given anything, any form, any way possible, assuming someone knows how to use magic in such a way. Just don’t want a Death Knight doing the work.

So, realistically in WoW’s case, you’re better off having someone, like I said, be willing to host her.

Resurrection magic surely would fix that otherwise there would be no point to resurrecting anyone because they would just die again if the thing that killed them wasn’t also repaired. Like cool, I ressed my dead grandmother who died of organ failure but who needs organs anyw…and well she’s gone again.

Do you want undead dragons? Because that’s how you get undead dragons.

I made a bunch of them. Alexstrasza seems to have forgot about that considering she still treats me as a homie.

The problem here is sadly Blizzard and their bad writing lately.

If you go by the lore before Shadowlands, Sindragosa died some thousand years before Arthas become the lich king. If we go by what we have learned during Shadowlands, when Sindragosa died, her spirit would have been transferred to the Shadowlands, just like Ysera.

However, the lore before Shadowlands says that Arthas after he become the lich king, raised Sindragosa back from the dead, we later kill her and bring her essence to the Wyrmcrest Temple to lay her to rest. After that her essence was brought to the Dragon Isles.

So if we go by the old lore, no. She is dead even if Arthas actually managed to bring her back, we actually put her to rest for good ( acc to lore )

If we go by the new lore, yes and no. Yes if her soul had gone to Shadowlands if Blizzard follow their newly made up lore. But she never went to Shadowlands for some reason so who really knows where her soul actually went?

This is so messed up from Blizzards side when it comes to ignoring the lore and just make up stuff as it goes thanks to lazy bad writers…

I still find it funny to see that the Wotlk login screen displays Icecrown and Sindragosa, Not Icecrown and Arthas.

I mean Dragonwrath has a vacancy now if she ever needs a place to stay for a while…

Sylvanas had like 9 chance at death. It just depend on how many val,kyr it take to resurect her. Or if we kill them before they sacrifice themselves

It’s like one of those creepy plastic dolls.

I think the ppl who want to bring her back are edgin

The way I see it straight up resurrection is a divine thing and whatever divinity handles that has to be willing. This doesn’t happen for most ppl/things hence lots of undeath, however for the hero(s) of the story it obviously is going to be a regular thing because u know the divinity is going to use us as proxy to do the thing!

I’m not sure I agree. I think it generally works that way in an actual RPG like Dungeons and Dragons, but I think for WoW it is generally just a power thing. We can be resurrected simply for game mechanics and our spirits find their way to our corpses is just flavor for why we don’t just stay dead when we die.

I mean take the night elves who died in the great fire. Why didn’t we just gather a ton of healers and res them 1 at a time? Why do we not just take NPCs or even prominent lore characters who die and resurrect them? Pretty mean/stingy god if all they have to do is give their approval and we spend 10 seconds waving our hands and chanting some words. I think canonically, resurrections take a herculean amount of effort and is akin to like a mother lifting a car a few inches off the ground by herself to save her trapped child or whatnot.

This doesn’t even begin to touch on the afterlife and how that works. We know when we die the Kyrian are there to ferry us to the arbiter to be judged…so say we’re chilling in Bastion being all brainwashed to be mindless drones or our soul stuffed into some nightmare fuel machination to fight an eternal war…does it just get yoinked back if we get resurrected? What about warlocks and how they draw souls out and keep them as fuel for their spells? Pretty sure all the afterlife forces aren’t too keen on that yet warlocks were allowed to proliferate with nary a whisper in SL.

I’ve just resigned myself to realize I likely care more than the writers do but aren’t being paid for it…so why do it. Could Sindragosa be ressed? Sure because anyone can do whatever they want nowadays anyway.

i want to do this but for draenei.

Nah the person wanting to genocide the dragon race is pretty edgy there. Surprised you aren’t a night elf rogue named Drizzt or something too

Given the more recent blue flight quest line, I don’t think she would want to be resurrected.

Then you should know that it’s about helping her and Malygos move on to the afterlife because they died violently and were forced to relive their final moments, which is a special kind of hell. Bringing her back like this is Dragon Ball Z would cheapen the ordeal, and there’s really no point in it like there was for Illidan, Ysera, and the current Four Horsemen.
