I’m gonna start this by acknowledging that this was 100% my fault and I accept that. However, I just wasted 1k anima by inadvertently starting a sanctum upgrade that I had no intention of selecting any time soon. I went to deposit the anima I had in my bags and, due to a combination of being distracted IRL and trying to be as quick as possible, clicked the wrong button and instantly started the transport upgrade instead, wasting 1k anima on an upgrade I personally think is useless anyway. Since I’m currently trying to save all my anima for mount and cosmetic purchases (should be able to get the Amphitheater moth mount tomorrow), this is rather frustrating.
Again, I fully accept that this is my own fault, however I doubt I’m the only one who has made this mistake, so would it be possible to get a confirmation window to pop up when starting a sanctum upgrade? It’s a rather simple thing that would help prevent issues related to user error.

Bumping this issue. I think a confirmation popup is a massive oversight. I just lost 3 weeks of anima and souls to the same thing. It’s out of step with a world where a low-time investment honor item can be returned for 2 in-game hours.

I did this last night too. I’m so frustrated to the extreme about this. Please change the IU so it asks for a y/n confirmation!! It’s way too easy to accidentally click the wrong button. All I was doing was switching screens back to the wow window!!

I’m calling shenanigans on this, I don’t believe any of you did this ‘accidentally’ and here’s why. This is the default UI for the covenant upgrade/anima deposit.

Not only is the deposit button nowhere near the upgrade button, but in order to upgrade any feature within the Sanctum, you must first click the upgrade you want (So either Transport Network, Anima Conductor, Command Table or your covenant specific upgrade), then you have to click the ‘unlock upgrade’ button.
So you mean to tell me that all three of you somehow ‘accidentally’ clicked a sanctum upgrade before you finally clicked the ‘unlock upgrade’ button? I just don’t buy it.

The transport network is selected by default (at least for Night Fae), so if you haven’t upgraded it all you need to do is click the wrong red button, which I absolutely DID do due to rushing and not reading until it was too late. As I said in my OP I fully accept that this was my fault, but a confirmation window would prevent others from making the same mistake.

That sucks, if it was at least the conductor you would of gotten your anima back already. But I agree, that is a lot of souls currently that you just can’t get back.

I did the same exact thing. Transport Network is selected by default, and if you have enough anima and souls to make it, the button is lit (unlike the one in your screenshot.) I am irritated as hell because now I have to wait another 2 weeks for a conservatory upgrade when I had planned to upgrade it next week, and seeds are piling up in my bags. If there had simply been an “Are you sure” button I would have immediately realized and fixed my mistake.

same thing happen to me it so upsetting weeks of waiting now because I clicked the button to fast and there was no conformation window it’s baffling

Same thing happened to me. I clicked an upgrade rather than the deposit by mistake and ended up with the transport network level 1.
This actually turned out great as Kyrian because now I can just take the shortest flight path in from Oribos and then hop into the gateway to warp straight into my Covenant Sanctum. Best accidental upgrade ever. LOL.
But that’s beside the point. I do agree there should be a confirmation button.

If you don’t have any anima, and you have the required deposited anima for the upgrade, the Unlock Upgrade will be highlighted while Deposit Anima will be greyed out. This is how I made the mistake, I went to turn in anima but didnt have any, saw the red highlight and clicked it mistakenly thinking it was for the deposit and bam the upgrade was started for 5k anima.
