thank you guys for the replies, it’s pretty interesting

I’ve run in to a few people who are relying on the built in windows defender, saying it’s pretty good now

the other advice I got is to go through or set up a VPN, something I haven’t done before

You don’t need VPN for gaming… just be common sense about where you visit and what you download…like Salhezra says.
