I got a Corsair keyboard with extra action buttons and I’m wondering what the rules are for using them. Is there a knowledgebase article I’m not finding? Not looking to chain events, which I’m sure is taboo.
Sounds like they’re just extra options available for use with keybinds? In which case that’s perfectly okay.

For any programmable mouse/keyboard you need to ensure that whatever you do with it can be done by a macro made in-game. If what your doing can’t be done by a macro, don’t do it.
I have a programmable mouse and keyboard. Anything I may use those extra buttons for is just a macro made in-game and bound to that button. It’s the safest way to ensure you never cross that line.

A general guideline to follow is “If you cannot macro it in game, then it’s not safe to do it outside the the game”.

Just used the programmable keys to execute macros as a means of ensuring everything is within the rules.
