I hate that because Anduin has shown more interests in women and zero interests in men. Remember, Anduin had a huge crush on Yrel before she went all zealot lord.

I think it could happen, though I doubt love is Anduin’s priority right now. That guy still has to reclaim his throne and re-adjust himself since he finally decided what he wants out of life, depression doesn’t go away in the snap of a finger, even if this is a fantasy game, he needs time to put his life back in order.

But this could be why it’s important to establish an Arathi faction that does side with the alliance ahead of time. So we know that their history and culture will be preserved in some fashion?
I guess I just kinda liked them more as friends because while a romance between them could be interesting, I feel that buddy cop angle would actually be hilarious if it continued further into their adulthood.
Imagining them with the Mr. Incredible/Frozone dynamic as two heroes breaking from leadership duties to deal with some misadventure. I’d pay money for that

This is why it makes perfect sense and would be natural. It’s just two paladins holding to each other because they see the Light in each other. Like as long as they stand together the Light will never extinguish in either. And it doesn’t have to be written in a clunky “in your face” method. It could be as simple as another series of quests next season and then they are just posted up together at the faction hubs going forward until we do quests to get the wedding ready in a future Expac. Because, most of the time, to take the throne a prince needs a bride or to be betrothed at least.

That’s true and there is also the fact royal marriages are more political than anything, it would make more sense for him to marry a daughter of the Emperor to stablish a firm alliance with the Arathi than Faerin, since the Lothar are dukes, so while higher nobility, not exactly royal.
So yeah, Anduin’s life is about to get busy when he sits on that throne, although let’s be honest, they are probably setting up the larger Arathi Empire to be our future enemies, so there is that.

It’s not the wildest thing, although Wrynn’s are well respected by all human kingdoms at this point(save within the Arathi Empire and the Forsaken, naturally), Lothar’s family name still carry weight in the Eastern Kingdoms, especially with the Blood Elves of Quel’thalas that still uphold their eternal debt. Politically speaking, it would make sense for him to become a Lothar, rather than Faerin a Wrynn. That would ensure a fairly long lasting peace with the Blood Elves and even cooperation in times of war, which would help push the game’s narrative in the direction Blizzard wanted since WC3 where Horde and Alliance become more and more at peace with each other.

Is joke about the Lothar name overriding the Wrynn one. Or Faerin being the one to wear the metaphorical pants in the relationship. Could take it a few different ways, however you’d like.

Kinda of a bad joke, I mean, we all know Faerin doesn’t truly like her family. I am 100% sure she would drop the Lothar name if she could.
It could inadvertently work out like this. Because Anduin’s always been a work from the shadows kinda guy. He never seems to want credit for the things he does to help. So having Faerin take a “leading” role in the relationship would have a lot of benefits. Even if it’s a facade
Pretty sure they already wrote the story to give sylvanas a redemption arc and marry anduin to become the queen of stormwind and then she will betray him and burn down echo isles.
would fit his priest like nature more as well. She can be the Shield while he is the Healer in the back.
