This is the only thing that needs to come out of this honestly.
Gives them time to fix issues (just don’t bring the servers up) and its when most people are still not around to be impacted by it.

You can definitely run into things where something has worked 100x in testing and then when it comes to the big day, just doesn’t.

I spend my days wearing two hats, doing production support and development, as needs dictate. If I were to divulge every detail of what went wrong in production, or why there was a hiccup in development, I’d never get anything done.

Actually, if you read the EULA, your subscription fee only entitles you access to the servers. That is what you pay them for. So they are doing what you pay them for.

When I install windows on new pcs for the office it never fails, 1 ALWAYS screws up, identical working hardware, identical installs, always has to be that one.

I mean yes and no. If you have a production issue. Even a 1 minute down time. The client is darn sure going to ask why. You dont have to answer and they dont have to remain a client.
I didn’t say it is make or break for them and its not for you to decide what they are doing.
If I’m an hour and 30 minutes late to work I’m probably getting fired.
