Last week of MOP okay, granted , but this

When Oceania were finally given actual Australia-located servers back in MoP, there was a large community vote Blizzard put out asking if Oceania players wanted to be changed to only play with other Oceania servers, or to continue being linked with US servers as they always were.


Is fantasy.

First off I am Australian. My game time is when it is night time in the US. This is why this is a problem. Yes I play on a US server but the Oceanic servers folllow US time so moving to one of them still wouldnt fix the problem.

Second, I love that night times are darker. It is so much better when night feels like night. However;

Why does WoW have to have a 1:1 day night cycle with the real world? Why cant they have a faster cycle, like an hour of day an hour of night. Or 3 day 3 night. Something other than the perpetual night time we suffer through.

I love that they have made nights darker but its perpetually night time now in game. And night time is always so dreary. I want to experience these amazing zones in the day time as well. That would mean I would have to be up at 2 am playing.

Kul Tiras has some amazing looking zones but so far I have only ever seen them at night and will never see them in the day because of the time difference.

For the love of god Blizz! Please PLEASE do something so we can get a decent day night cycle.


100% agree! I pay good money just like the other side of the world, why can't I see the world in colour rather than 50 shades of blues and dark greys. C'mon Blizz think of us on the other side of the world. Then once you sort that, consider changing server maintenance so that it doesn't clash with prime time playing time in the Southern Hemisphere.

Youre not from the US so Blizzard could care less about your money. As long as they have it they dont care about your experience.

I wish they'd just add a daylight potion already. I live in NA but I work in the mornings and usually play WoW at night. I'd rather play with WoW lit than it being dark.

Agree. Would be nice to play in the daylight.

Make a toggle option blizzard. I'm in us but it's always dark for me too as I only play after work and dinner.

Guess Blizzard want to do a hard reset to hide all the complaints. My guess is this new system is to encourage people to only post about rainbows and kittens and blow smoke up Blizzards *** instead of criticising them.

Too busy worrying about people feelings on the internet to actually address real problems with the game.

I like the 24 hour day cycle. I think it is neat that the game matches my real world time. I really don't see what the issue is with it. It is not like there is any content that requires you do it at a specific time.

Thanks for linking to a thread that was started in 2016 and has had no attention from Blizzard since that one blue paid us lip service.

And that isnt an answer, its an excuse. If people having torches in the day were really that big of an issue then they wouldnt have made the inky black potion.

But please, do go on blindly defending Blizzards complete disregard for us.

And well done on linking an article I knew existed, have commented in numerous times, have linked in other discussions about this very issue.

Thank you for showing that you only read 1-2 comments in this thread and then decided that you knew everything there is to know and came in on your high horse to white knight for Blizzard. Well done.

It may match your real world time but it doesnt in the Oceanic region. It used to when we first got OCE servers in WoD, until Blizzard messed it up in Legion to cater to US players crying that on rare occasion they might get an OCE player so their ping would go up a little bit for the 15 minutes they were in a dungeon.

Remember when Blizzard thought it would be a good idea to make trinkets follow the Day/Night cycle in Tomb of Sargeras?

Because it would clearly be weird to see NPCs holding torches in the day in an instanced raid.

Therefore go back to the dark all you Aus/ NZ players!! Buwaha

No. They're not selective in their dismissive nature of player feedback based on geography. They are an equal opportunity hater of the player base these days, trust me.

Your request has nothing to do with where you live and everything to do with it not having anything to do with feeding the almighty /time played metric they worship these days. Anything else is very low priority.

The game has night? I play at all hours of the day, full ultra graphics, and the only environmental thing I see that suggests time of day is the sun setting. (Or rising?)

This has been an issue forever, i think their 1 dev is snowed under with bug fixes.

I see Blizzard still is flat out ignoring a basic fix to a basic problem. Wouldn’t take them any time at all to fix this, but then Blizzard has never actually cared about what the community has wanted. Just what they ‘think’ the community has wanted.

Now it’s 2023 and this basic problem still not fixed? Have the dev team ever experience playing a game and it always be night all the time? Everyday when im about to sleep but the sun in game just raise and the area gradually look more beautiful. Then I have to close the game because my time is over. pls consider this. ohn’ahran plains at night look terrible for me. There must be optional ways for players as you always provide us like in the quests.
