I’m not sure if you even read my post because I disabled all addons, then deleted my entire interface folder (which contains the addons folder). So I definitely “prevented them from loading.”
Luckily, people on reddit actually seem to provide ways to fix issues. Found a post where similar problems have been reported and are still ongoing after nearly a year. Deleting indices files over 1K KB resolved the issue (not stating this to actually respond to your extremely specific advice–rather to help other players who make the mistake of coming to the forums for similar reasons).
For anyone who may be experiencing similar disconnect issues–(and cannot determine what vague “do basic troubleshooting” advice entails or potentially already did the insightful and detailed basic troubleshooting)–check to see if you have a large number of .index files that are around or above 1K KB.
Go to your WoW folder>Data>Indices>Delete the .index files 1K KB+
(also note that if you find yourself having to do this, the bnet launcher will scan and repair your client and likely will have to reinstall the .index files–which for me was a large amount of GB; furthermore, this may not fix your specific issue, on the reddit post there were some users who did this and still were having issues, but it did work for me)
