e.g. /console turnspeed 300
i entered that and it is not changing my turnspeed at all.
Try the following: /run C_CVar.SetCVar(“TurnSpeed”,200)
Try the following: /run C_CVar.SetCVar(“TurnSpeed”,200)
tried it and even tried changing the numerical value and still no change. it worked couple days ago and was still working on TBC…
yeah nada .. even cleared cache and wtf ![]()
Would love to have this fixed!!
Would love this to be fixed! It just stopped working and I really use it often!
Mines doing this too, I found that if I am on the ground the turn speed is abysmal but if I am flying, its back to normal.
Edit: I found a fix, close your game. Find your WoW installation folder, mine’s under Program Files(x86) > World of Warcraft. Once in there, locate the retail folder followed by entering the WTF folder. Once in there, find your config.wtf file, open it up and hold Ctrl + F and search for “turnspeed”. Mine was force set to 100 and no console command would fix it, changed it to 300 and it’s fixed now. Again, make sure your game is closed and then edit the file and re-open. Odd bug on Blizzards end!
wow thanks - mine doesn’t even have turnspeed!! has the rest …. X) but putting in
SET turnspeed “400”
it worked out of the gate huzzah!! ty ty ty
i logged in and its working again…..then another character it WONT work..WTH
nope .. yep .. same as you .. any logout or toon hopping and it reverts .. only now istead of having to type in /console turnspeed 400 … you ahve to edit the freaking file .. wth
So can confirm, only a few of my characters have this weird bug and I have no idea why. I’ve tried the console command and it doesnt work. The only thing that does is to use an addon, Advanced Interface Options. Go to the Options panel, in there is a tab called Addons followed by Advanced interface Options, is a subcategory CVar Browser. In there I change the setting from 300 to 300 and it fixes it. There is a weird bug going on for sure and i have no idea why this is happening.
thank you for this…this worked immediately. i still have to set it every time i log in, but its there and works. thank you
Your welcome, you can also make a macro on your account and use it when you login until blizzard fixes it.
/run SetCVar(“turnSpeed”,300)
Change the number to what you prefer.
**Just note to anyone at Blizzard who is reading this, I only have 2 characters that are affected. when I run /dump GetCVar(“turnSpeed”) it comes back as 300 but turns as if it’s 100**
This is also my experience. Using the /console command doesn’t work, but something like /run SetCVar(“turnspeed”, 180) does, though it needs to be run each time. The CVar is set to my former preset, but the functional turnspeed is default unless I rune the SetCVar command.
I think this is a symptom of a larger bug.
Many of my settings do not save and have to be adjusted every time I log in. Two examples would be that on each log in (even swapping characters) I have to reset the size of guild chat because it resets to that smallest option and I have to right click off the cooking gear that my character defaults to.
I hope Blizz gets to the bottom of this- having to reset all of your settings on each log in gets tedious.
Thank you for this! It was getting frustrating not being able to /console turnspeed 180 in-game
nice to see Blizzard cares so much that they have not addressed this issue yet. still have to use an addon because console command WONT WORK!!!
last few days i find that i don’t need to type anything in - but i do need to log in to a toon .. then exit game .. log back into same toon and it works .. if i swap toons i need to repeat this process…. typing anything in doesnt help .. just logging over and over ..
