Considering Some Semi-weekly World Quests Becoming Daily

Are you for the bi weekly rest or against it ?
If you are for it then you should be happy they are not makeing them reset daily

I can’t wait for later this patch where everyone complains that the game is only a raidloggers paradise. It’s going to happen.

But did you hear? You can circle a zone for dirt piles 4 hours a day, that’s content bro! Or hell, treat yourself and run Grand Hunts again for a grey!

Intuitive dailies should be brought back anyways. Remember the panda farm from MoP?

Nah, it’s more that no one ever likes being told truths about the game, and no one likes hypocrisy.

Dragonflight has been a huge relief for me, as someone who always wanted fewer daily chores so I could spend more time collecting things - in Shadowlands I did each of the covenants, for example - and despite never setting foot in a raid or a dungeon until the last patch was almost over I still felt the grind for anima was entirely too crap, even as a solo outdoor player, because most of the good ways to get it meant doing a very specific set of activities every day before having the luxury to choose what I wanted to do.

Now, in Dragonflight, I finally have that luxury to choose after so long. I still have things I need to do each week, but I can more or less choose when I want to do them. Not as a raider/mythic+er, but as a world player with a focus on collecting.

The point is every player has different things they consider “mandatory” and just saying “this is optional” doesn’t actually change minds. I know. I could say “if you want daily tasks why not create your own?” You don’t want to do that because you want to do something that gives you some kind of dopamine, some kind of reward - and that means it’s a daily reward with some kind of value, and THAT means there will be players who won’t want to miss out on it, and THAT means there will be players who have less choice in what they do in the game.

As I’ve said several times, an ideal solution would be daily WQs but a system that prevents people who only do them twice a week from losing out on most of the rewards from them. Cataclysm’s valor grind was good; you had to do 10 dungeons a week to max the bar, but you could do it all on a weekend if you wanted, or you could do a couple dungeons a day if you wanted. If they can figure out how to do that for world content I think a lot of people on both sides will be happy.

Honestly, maybe that’s what the great vault should be. Open-world content magic chest, doing different non-WQ outdoor things like great hunts, the key weekly or whatever progresses you through a bar that eventually gives you X amount of rep and other WQ rewards.

Level an alt? Tired of players who play 1 character complain there’s “nothing to do”. Alt lovers have suffered for years because of TOO much to do for you people, like in BFA I couldn’t even play alts I loved because it was too much.

but why ??

Hope Blizzard is listening as the storm gets closer.

Oh baby, 3 Golden Lotus! We’re rich boys!

It was a simpler time, lol

That was spelled out 4 hours ago.

But thanks for wrongly assuming!

So I can scrape 7 hours of gameplay out of that before that alt also hits 70 and has 1 hour of content a week? Good idea, maybe if I level 50 alts I’ll have as much to do as I did on my main during BfA

My “main” in BFA I barely logged into because I hated the AP grind, I refused. I raided kind of gimped/behind. I didn’t do alts. Without alts I was bored. Had no desire to login and do anything other then raid. I have way more hours played a week with alts and an alt friendly them. BFA was my least played expansion to date. It was trash. So boring. So much “chore”. I want to play classes and do things I find fun. Games should be fun. They shouldn’t be a “Oh I better login and do my 2 hours of chores for the day”

Nah the next big complaint will be the outlandish grind for invasion gear.

For those of us that really dont care about mythics or raiding this is a good change, it gives us something to do in the game each day. Im on board

The prediction that this would be a raid logger expansion was made months ago. Hello WoD 2.0! Everyone raved how beautiful the zones were, how great the leveling experience was, and how novel the garrison system was. However, weeks and months after that there was nothing to do unless you raided and did PvP.

I hate to break it to you, Blizzard made a second post saying they are keeping the bi-weekly daily quests.

Thank god, I got plenty to do in the open world without world quest adding to it.

Blizzard should charged $25 for each aditional alts, they need more profit and people would happily pay for it.

We gave you the same feed back in Beta, that the World Quest timers was way too long reset period.
