This comment is useless. PvPers should still voice their concerns on here. It’s still part of the game and it’s here to stay.
Voice them, I’m just saying they won’t listen, PvPer aren’t their main revenue source.
You’re stuck in an loop.
PVPer aren’t a the main player base. They aren’t because PVP in WoW is objectively bad and players that like PVP plays objectively better games. Which means the dev don’t cater to them. Which mean PVPer aren’t the main player base…
And round it goes.
Once you realize that, I personally don’t get why you’d keep going.
I’ll give you this though, you’re doing it the right way asking for PVP talents.
According to you, which is the opposite of objectively.
Alas, this isn’t the first nor the last time a 1500 xp player says WoW PvP is bad.
I don’t PVP, but I’m still not happy with this. Is it good on tank and spank fights? sure.
Is it good for deciding when and where you want to time your AOE? no.
Is it good for starting some AOE in anticipation of mobs spawning? no.
Is it good for dropping a conc after a short lava swim to help raid members get some hp back (Golden Path)? no.
Is it good for a flashy way to dismount or unsheath your weapon? no.
This is destroying the flavor of the game.
Whos kiting us? Mainly casters and some melee specs … If you can boj someone you can FV and judgement. Its literally not gonna have an impact. On this point remember the now gone “law and order” pvp talent… a better version than what we got and it had NO impact, didnt stop others from running away from us
Those kiting us dont just havr higher base movement speed, they have instant blinks, ports, charges or instant cc. Will consecrated blade help us chase a warrior in his charge dead zone? Yes I guess… not against mages locks evokers.
Do not tell me you believe consecrated blade will help you catch a devo, mage, ww, feral, havoc lmao.
I believe it will have zero impact for pvp, other than breaking cc from teammates and our own. Could you imagine having to emergency blinding light but oh no! I dropped a boj before to get some hp guess now my cc is dead.
This change is far more negative than positve.
They should add in a PvP talent called something like “Consecrate Land” where it re-adds Consecration as a separate spell and removes it from Blade of Justice. Maybe even let you target the location like you can with Ashen Hallow or a Death Knights’ Death And Decay.
I don’t PvP anymore, myself, but I can definitely see how it would be an issue.
Even the argument that using it on a trash pack that’s moving and you don’t get the full damage value out of consecration is goofy.
It is at most 3-4% of our overall damage, Consecrated Blade was locked choice for PvE, and even still it is coming out every ten seconds. No one was holding consecration for the opportune moment to use it, at least after 10.0.7.
Most Repentance targets (healers) are not stacked with their team so our numerous sources of uncontrolled AoE/cleave shouldn’t break it. Plus Blinding is followed up by HoJ in almost all cases if used on a healer, we’re not exactly concerned if it breaks early.
Most of my issues boil down to you needing to have a hostile target to use it now. It completely guts any utility or fun the spell gave. Now it’s just might as well not be there, just remove it and increase damage to something else.
