Conquest and Valor to Become Uncapped

Me being a world player, and doing only queueable content, i want Chaos to drop in Heroic dungeons, so my characters can send them between each other, with NO TAX on the exchange included, so I can play MY alts also. I leveled up LW, and BS and deserve to gear my toons just as much as the M+ and raiders can by having Chaos raining down on them from their choice of content!

This along with the Chaos exchange is nothing more than a reward to the ELITE’S! Nothing more!

Guess the rest of the player base can just sit on our thumbs, and thank these out of touch devs for exactly zilch for us?

Yeah great way to run a game, NOT!

Me to! Loved the DF when it came into Wrath! Farmed the heroics like crazy when friends were not online!

Holy Paladin Bug: Losing 75% of my Mana whenever participating in instanced PvP world arena etc. Would be nice to get a blue post regarding this game breaking bug.

does not diminish the fact that it sucks when it still costs that much for a spec that dual wields 2h

I would gladly take some rating req adjustments in exchange for some control over when I play and when I dont and how much. Looking at the the exact requirements it is clear that most of the lower ones are tuned with the assumption of valor cap. Its important to note that m+ rating acquisition is normally not a linear thing, the difficulty exponentially grows as result of how the key work in general.
Right now, no matter if you have 1400 or 2400 rating, really you win nothing with it and the best tactic to use your valor is… not using it until you get your item on the end of dungeon loot cap…

LFR ilvl cap can be anything below the next.
All m10s on both affixes should be norm ilvl capped
All m15s timed on both affixes should be hc ilvl capped.
All m20s timed on both affixes should be mythic ilvl capped.

Also valor drops probably should scale with key level, so each domain gives appropirate amount of valor for their own tier.

This would also dethrone the vault from being the sole gearing option after a certain point and item drop could even be removed.

Instead weekly should drop Titan Residumm like in BFA 8.2 and in a perfect world maybe even this could happen.

The elitists still whine and complain.

It feels terrible. Please consider uncapping much sooner.

IMO, this still could have been done in a better format, for capping to eventual uncapping.

For the capping purpose, the ilvl upgrades of gear itself could be capped and slowly raised on a week-by-week basis, instead of valor itself.
Valor gains per m+ run could also be heavily reduced the first few weeks, so people can grind as much as they want while not running too far ahead of others, but not hitting into a cap that discourages playing.

Essentially move the cap over from valor itself to gear ilvl upgrades being a gradated thing.

Translation: Don’t have a date for V-day? Spend the day on WoW and gear your alts.

Yeah, to stupidity.

Welp, my girlfriend is not going to be so happy this Valentine’s Day. Sorry babe, I need more Conquest!

Actually, it’s just the best loot in the game so yes it does.

Does this actually work this way?

I don’t feel this way when I’m on my alts. I just think “oh man, they’re 6 weeks of vaults behind and the cap means there’s no way to catch up. Sad.”

130 replies people creating solutions for imagined problems that don’t exist lol.

Everyone wanted easier way to gear that isnt solo but also isnt raid requing schedules and commitment.

Now we got it and all you chumps do is continue to complain to no end lol.

Further, While they are removing valor/conquest cap, the scores required to upgrade it fully is still there. No amount of gear is suddenly going to teach you mechanics or beat the top pvpers for rating for you.

Hahaha lol at all the doom gloomers

No, they didn’t reclear heroic Sepulcher because the raid was long and people were burned out by how hard it was pre-nerfs. They did not stop reclearing heroic once valor was uncapped. That’s just completely rewriting history and you have zero evidence of that-- valor was uncapped even before most aotc guilds stopped raiding, likely before they even killed jailer in the first place with how long it took for nerfs to go through.

You’re just rewriting history to fit your narrative because you don’t like M+ers (aka something you could do but evidently don’t want to, because it’s a different, not competing, source of gear) getting more gear.

If you’re having to force people to run raids for the gear then yes, you should find a guild that does higher level content rather than thinking that the same low level reclears should be giving you upgrades 2 months into the tier…

Or maybe Blizzard can just wake up and stop limiting gear behind top end content in the first place rather than other rewards, but I’m not holding my breath.

They have very valid reasons for having caps early in seasons.

Because it’s fun? Because you often play different talent builds in M+ than in raid? Because you can often play with people outside of your guild in M+?

There’s tons of reasons to push M+ if you’re a general “gamer” and enjoy challenging content even if you raid.

Because it’s a bad rng system layered on top of a bad rng system.

Less RNG for gear progression is better. That’s why SL S4 was amazing. No valor cap from the start. Tokens to buy raid gear from a vendor. Currency to upgrade raid loot. Catalyst.

The best I’ve ever experienced in terms of gear in WoW.

Thank you! It’ll be a great feeling having gear be upgraded and be able to run higher keys with more confidence!

That’s not at all what happened in Shadowlands when valor was uncapped. People farmed their gear from higher keys because that’s what the content they already want to do - plus you get bonus valor for doing a key where someone gets score - and all of that on top of farming the gear at a higher ilvl because the cost to upgrade was insane and running that many +2s to upgrade gear would drive anyone insane.

Serious question: why is the valor cap necessary at all if you cap gear rank upgrading by score on a per character basis? E.g. if I get 15k valor, I can’t make my toon wholly 415 without having pushed to 2400 score. (Tbh, I think the valor cap does make people feel left behind when the vault and drops aren’t in their favor. cough cough trinkets.)
