Conquest and Valor to Become Uncapped

I get the impression the people complaining about this are gonna complain until they can log on twice a week, do their raid and still get the same gear as people who play 40+ hours a week.

Do you realize almost none of the players feel this way? If you really have to cap it, at least make it 2000 a week
FOMO is so stupid, and you shouldn’t base a system off that.

I do enjoy mythic+.

I don’t enjoy game design that encourages playing 24/7 for uncapped power.

The forums just revolted against daily WQ lol.

Because 2h weapons take 2 sparks? It’s a pretty big investment when there was valuable pieces of gear to make earlier, like lariats, socketed rings, cowls for leather wearers, etc.

All for an item that could be replaced in a vault. I guess you see that as a bad thing since you’re anti M+ for whatever reason, but sparks are a pretty limited and precious resource.

Raiders can get a full table of BiS loot and still find a way to complain.

I’m of the mindset of you grind it you earn it. It does somewhat take some self control to not no life grind 24/7 but it can be done.

Yet you put a tax on Chaos exchanges, and tell us world players to play our alts to gear them, and the only 100% way to get Chaos is by doing mid M+ or Heroic raid?

What a sham!

Put Chaos in HEROIC DUNGEONS already!

What’s the actual point of doing it now, if Sparks are supposedly farmable?

Those are for separate goals.

They want the best way to gear the alt to be to play the alt.

Ok then up the loot chance in m+ to be that of raids. There’s an existing balance but people who cry about raid vs m+ are ignorant to the downsides.

Random chance not farmable.

Now you’ll actually be able to build a second set of gear that doesn’t cost your soul in mats/tipping crafters.

I think the biggest thing is that you actually get the full reward for doing content.

Full table doesn’t do much when only a pittance drops every week.

You don’t have to play 24/7. You are not encouraged or even incentivized to spam +2s until you’re full 415s, especially considering most people probably are already mostly geared if they’re high enough rating to fully upgrade with valor.

What you’re really saying is that you’re desperate to stay on the gear treadmill the entire patch and not get maxed out gear until it’s ready to be replaced by the new raid or M+ season.

I’m sick of that treadmill. I want to be able to get the gear I want in a reasonable amount of time and be able to focus on clearing the content I wanna do instead, not continue to chase upgrades all patch other than very minor ones.

If you need to have a limitation on how many dungeons you run in a week because you can’t control yourself from spamming them 24/7, seek help-- it shouldn’t be on the rest of us to have pitifully small caps on our gearing process just because you can’t control yourself.

M+ already drops twice as much loot as raids, per-person, AND is infinitely spammable, whereas raid bosses can only be killed once per week.

I honestly think uncapping valor and conquest earlier in seasons would make people more incentivized to keep playing the game, not unsubscribe. If anything, I would be much more inclined to do more keys with better gear, because I would be doing more damage and having more fun. In addition, I would have more time to play alts, knowing that my main is already doing well ilevel-wise.

So, I don’t think this argument that valor/conquest should be arbitrarily capped from a business standpoint even makes much sense, since people tend to spend more time in-game when they feel like they can grind away on their own time. This has been one of the most alt-friendly expansions in a long time and metrics for M+ are massively up compared to Shadowlands, according to Norathedestroyer’s data that they regularly post weekly on the WoW Reddit.

Not even. Where’s the 421 cloth bracers or cape in the raid?
