Connected Realms (with Cenarius)

This is old news, but there have been recent develepments, so…

The Connected Realms Support Page has been updated, and now correctly shows the 7 realms on our server set:

Cairne, Cenarius, Frostmane, Korgath, Ner’zhul, Perenolde, and Tortheldrin.

There was a typo/error indicating “Blackmoore” was connected, but that was removed, thanks to Vrakthis from Incorrect Listing in Connected Realms Support Page:

I’m not sure how that EU realm slipped in there. I don’t know if it is supposed to be a different realm in place of Blackmoore, as far as I know the connections should be with all those but Blackmoore.

I’ll ping that article to have someone take a look but I would agree with Rufflebottom, the Support Site Feedback forum is generally best so you can provide specifics as to what is wrong with an article.

Some good history was dug up by one of our Guild members, also in the discussion from Incorrect Listing in Connected Realms Support Page:

Bloodhoof, Cenarius, Ner’zhul and Perenolde were in the original batch of realms opened in November of 2004. The others came after. Perenolde was first connected with Cairne, and the others were all lumped together later. Our Alliance guild on Cairne was created in August of 2009, before the connections started. The Horde guild on Bloodhoof was created in February of 2008. If I recall correctly, the first realms were connected in October of 2013 with about a year of “regularly scheduled connections”. The big lump for the Cenarius/Perenolde set was in 2020, when all seven were combined.

If anyone has any more info about this, or other Cenarius history, we’d love to hear more.
