You’re whining about your professions. You tried to devalue what Method accomplished by saying “well people donate all the time”. You tried saying that the World First race has far too much money put into it, and is over hyped, and all that.
If money wasn’t put into the World First race, and it didn’t happen, those kids would be 65k less fortunate. Yes, you do take issue with it. Yes, I am going to call you out on it.
If you think professions need more attention, make a separate thread with concise, informative, and personal feedback. Do not speak for others. Do not devalue the accomplishments of others. Make a thread bringing attention to the need of professions, how you believe Blizzard could help, etc. Do your best to articulate it thoroughly. Don’t try to devalue the accomplishments of others, or as Pure said, try to convince other people they shouldn’t be invested in something like this which is directly aimed at aiding children.
Edit: and I’m not being facetious. I’m serious. If you’re that irritated about professions, use GD proper, make a thread about it, and discuss your grievances with it.
Okay. If that’s the way you see it, then you do you, and get outraged over nothing.
Personally I don’t see this as an event where If I’m not happy about the aspect, that means I hate kids and think they shouldn’t have gotten 65k in donations.
Then why bring it up? Cause you opened that door saying “well people donate all the time”. You could have just said: “It’s wonderful Method succeeded and brought forth 65k to children in need.” Then that wouldn’t be a question, now would it?
Community driven charity live stream. It’s not a company. It’s people coming together to achieve something. People do 24 hour charity live streams all the time.
Method also wasn’t on camera the whole time. They slept, they took breaks, and they gave opportunities to other people / raiding guilds by showcasing other people’s success (with their consent) and allowing the casting team to also have time streaming and commentating on the opportunities / efforts of others involved. Nothing about this race was extreme, and it was more about trying to bring people together, again, to aid children.
So to summarize, because I’m genuinely confused here.
You are:
A.) Mad Blizzard removed profession achievements and thought this thread would be a good place to air those grievances.
B.) Aren’t interested whatsoever in the topic of this thread.
C.) Think that esports are stupid and people put way too much money into them.
D.) It’s kinda cool that they did generate that much money though because the charity stuff was alright.
Are we done here? Good luck with your community profession race livestream, I genuinely hope you can make it happen.
I will however not be tuning it. I will also not be coming into threads regarding your event to tell you how stupid it is and how everyone shouldn’t care about it because I don’t care about it, that would just be rude and I am a decent human who would never do something like that.
They just seem to be reactionary, because I dislike the world first races, and dislike the fact they took out profession realm firsts, thus apparently that means I hate children?
It’s a weird rabbit hole they go down. Don’t let them get to ya.
I don’t think you hate children, I just generally think you are a rude and self centered person if you think you need to butt your head into every topic you don’t find personally interesting to let everyone know that you in fact, don’t care about the subject at hand.
As if anyone is interested in your personal indifference, or we should all somehow come to our senses and stop tuning in to livestreams we enjoy because Nyaria thinks they are dumb.
Trust me I won’t XD
it’s not that I mind what people do with the game, people can do whatever they want but if people don’t see a problem with the company congratulating that type of play and how that would affect the rest of the community then there’s really nothing I can say.
I don’t care either way, just find it off considering they also take steps to make sure people don’t get addicted.
Except Method was stuck on one mechanic, and Limit on other mechanic, since Method solved limit’s problem by using 2 healers, and limit method’s by using 3 healers, neither would’ve killed it without the nerf perhaps.
It is disgusting when you come into a thread congratulating the efforts of people who were aiding children and try to derail it with profession crap that has no bearing.
I don’t think you hate children either. I think you’re unnecessarily selfish. Again, if you honestly care that much about professions, why don’t you make a thread dedicated to aiding professions? Go for it, I’ll support it.
Edit: and for the record? I don’t think you’re disgusting. I think you performed something disgusting. There is a difference. Brilliant people can do stupid things. This? It’s dumb. The thread has nothing to do with professions. Thus? You derailed it. Whether you like it or not. Zero to do with professions.
Don’t care. This isn’t a thread about the NFL, nor does it have anything to do with it.
Again, thread title: Congrats to Method.
Original post:
Zero in this thread had anything to do with professions. It was meant to be a thread congratulating Method for their success in both downing the raid, and donating 65k to children. If that person has a problem with professions, a completely different aspect of content handled by a completely different team, this isn’t the thread for it. They shouldn’t be so selfish, and they should make a thread actually wanting to help what they have a problem with.
