Been playing campaign. Finish all the factions stories. Unlock adventure mode. Continue dragonflight campaign, I guess there is more? Vyranoth in the first part betrays Frakk but then I just get a cut scene where she is helping him? (The scene where the centaur gets killed) Can someone help me understand what’s going on? I don’t think I am playing it out of order as it’s my first dragonflight character.
Probs cause you’re doing story campaign quests out of sequence. It’s a byproduct of blizz pushing people into the current season/story/zone before they get a chance to actually progress chronologically through the complete campaign.
On the flip side, it gets you into current content much faster vs say what ff14 does.
Not really.
You are. Blizzard doesn’t care about the questing so much so you likely started the campaign quests out of order.
Once you hit 70 it’s just a dump of content regardless of where you are in the campaign. Sorry just the way it is.
shouldn’t be this way on the first character.
The alternative is 20 hours of storyline content ala FF14 style.
It wouldn’t hurt for Blizz to make it more obvious what’s the next questline, but locking content behind a long-winded story just isn’t what WoW does. Nor what it should ever do. You shouldn’t subject people to a story/time they don’t care about.
omg 20 hours of content in a MMO.
I think this person seems to care.
What the living heck is with having an opinion here? No, people don’t want to do the story in this game. They never had to in Vanilla. Why should they now?
Then Blizzard can make it more apparent what the next questline is.
Also just so you know, I’m not answering you any further. So feel free to get the last word.
First character or not, it’s about content patches. I mean, you don’t expect a first time player to go through all of vanilla and TBC and Wrath and Cata and all that before finally getting to current content do you?
Look at it like a book or movie series. If you start off in the third movie/book without knowing what happened in the first two, going back and watching the first two may seem confusing because of what’s transpired but was your first experience of the series
It’s okay to be wrong. 20 hours of questing in a MMORPG is not a bad thing. Sorry you want to rush to endgame and start your esport grind. Some people enjoy playing a RPG and the story is a big part of that.
Did I say that? I think the current expansion should be understandable by someone who just bought it and should not include skips in the campaign. That’s silly.
WoW’s story is a drug-induced nightmare that makes no sense. And since it would cost money to make it coherent, we’re not getting that.
Maybe some bullet points.
- The primalists discovered the vault that held Raszageth’s siblings. We failed to stop her from freeing them in the Vault of the Incarnates.
- The Incarnates delve into the Neltharion vaults at the Forbidden Reach for any advantage against the Aspects.
- The Incarnates discover the location where Neltharion buried his dark secrets.
- Fyrakk consumes the potent Shadowflame in Zaralek Caverns and awakens the Djaradin Elders which are rampaging by setting up camps across the Dragon Isles.
- Iridikron made an unknown alliance with the Infinite Dragonflight in the Dawn of the Infinite.
- Fyrakk begins to spread corruption and argues against their honorable ideals.
- Vyranoth considered Fyrakk to have gone too far.
I hope that helps.
The quests were released on a weekly basis but didn’t require you to have done the previous ones first. So yeah, you just did an older quest last.
Thanks for all the replies. Guess I am just gonna roll with it, sense or no.
