I’m playing a Fury warrior, dual wielding, level 80.
I’ve gone over stats priorities on Icy Veins and gathered that I should be focused on Haste and Mastery and Crit for my secondary stats which I’ve done to the tune of 20% Haste & 22% Mastery.
I’m doubting the stat priorities I’ve been following because most of the gear that’s been dropping for me is Versatility and Mastery / Haste / Crit. Leaving me having to sacrifice hundreds in Haste or Mastery for pieces. What am I missing?
We cant choose what gear drops for us, we can only choose what gear to wear. Though in most cases an ilvl upgrade would win out over the stats. (when in doubt sim it out)
Basically what Kazecap said, ilvl is mostly king for the most part due to just how potent primary stats and armour scaling is for our damage overall, however most of the items you’ll probably be searching for are going to be mastery/x stat wise.
But if you’re wanting to keep ontop of wearing the best gear possible that’s dropped for you? Sim yourself on raidbots through the ‘top gear’ function. It’ll give you solid advice on what to use for single target, you’ll still need to use an ounce of critical thinking though for trinkets to use for M+.
