The only reason it was swapped out was because they removed reforging from the game. So unless they plan on removing the auction house, then they can’t remove it or they better be prepared to refund us all our gold for false advertising.
The main capital concept should be abandoned. Let people go to whatever city they want instead of trying to micromanage things. But that would put pressure on them to finally update the Draenei and Blood Elf starting areas.
Blizzard’s concerned about mobile AH access becoming too common, so they should just add a new Brutosaur mount to the vendor that doesn’t have an AH NPC.
OK… back off, prairie dog.
If you plan 5 years out in terms of WoW you may be, more often than not, disappoined. I hope you can adjust your plan to 1 year. Good luck!
I’ve always wanted a carriage mount too. Never was interested in the brutosaur mount, I don’t do a lot on the AH.
I don’t know who you are but I love you for that section right there. Well played.
It seemed a reasonable plan that would have netted the required gold by the end of the next expansion. I don’t think I had a reason for concern in this case. The game’s not going away at the end of Shadowlands. Gold-sink mounts have never been removed from their vendors and could always be saved for over multiple expansions.
However, since Blizz decided to break all precedent and remove a gold-sink mount from the vendors with no notice beyond a thread acknowledging a datamine–yes, of course I’m disappointed. You are probably right that I should never have relied on them to continue gold-sink mounts as they always have in the past.
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible. I have real-life goals and time-sinks that are far more important to me than any video game. I’m continuing to gather gold as fast as I can (and I have managed to speed it up quite a bit) but it won’t be fast enough.
Thank you. Right now I’m mostly hoping they’ll at least put one of their many available non-AH versions of the mount onto the vendors when they remove the MCB. But, as per your advice, I’m expecting disappointment (again).
I love your optimism mine is waning. I think that 2008 was a huge turning point for blizzard entertainment and unless they cut ties with activision we are in for more of the same.
Okay yes the blue post is official and most players are aware of it but they had to find out by word of mouth. Would you rather your girlfriend tell you they cheated on you or find out from someone else?
They would make good politicians because it’s a poor reason to remove. But it makes sense if that’s their line of thinking it explains why things are in such a bad place in the game not just a mount.
Your opinion, fortunately, isn’t facts and is also blatantly wrong. You may tinfoil hat as much as you want and assume the reason was based on some grand conspiracy made by Activision to force players into buying WoW tokens for $500. However, the entire game does not revolve around you. There are plenty of people in the game who play solely for the markets and fincancial side. All they do in the game is make gold.
For the first time forever, Blizzard have ackowledge these multi-millionaires, and in some cases billionaires, and added a prestigious reward for these people to enjoy, much like how high-end PvE awards Cutting Edge or high-end PvP rewards other titles, such as Gladiator.
The existence of an item, title or anything else in the game, does not automatically entitle everyone to have it, and having exclusive rewards that you can work hard to achieve is a good thing for the game, not a bad thing. Lashing out simply because you can’t afford it but want it, and therefore feel somehow entitled to it since you’re a paying customer, is simply a fallacy.
You’ve been given a choice, to either buy the mount, or not, as well as either pay for it using in-game gold, or buy WoW token’s. The mount was made with people in mind who are sitting on millions upon millions of Gold with nothing to spend it on, not for those who struggle to make it through a week’s worth of repairs.
Why is it that you can accept that you simply aren’t the caliber of player who will get Cutting Edge or Gladiator in PvE and PvP respectively, but you can’t accept that people who worked hard to make gold also deserve rewards in the game, when that’s literally they only reason they play the game? Just because an item has a price tag, doesn’t mean everyone in the game is entitled to it or should have it. Simple as that.
Assuming the entire player base agrees with you, simply because you’re somehow offended that Blizzard would dare to appease their actual loyal players, those who are actually active in the game, is insanely naive. Why do you think T3 is held in such high regards, other than the fact that the T3 sets are by far the best tier sets in the game? It’s because they were removed and are subsequently rare and prestigious to own. It adds value, just like it will with the Brutosaur and it’s an excellent decision to keep it rare and prestigious.
By that logic, you should have multiple gold caps in the game. Actually, according to your logic, literally every player in the game should be scoffing at this ridiculously low price tag. There’s plenty of skill involved in gold making, which is why not everyone is a multi-millionaire in the game, and why these whiny threads are overflowing the forums, because people can’t afford the mount since they are bad at making gold.
Your opinion on the matter isn’t “any and all feedback about the mount” though, is it now? You can’t afford it, so you’re upset and offended at the prospect of never having it, whereas people who worked for it and earned it, are happy for it to remain exclusive and prestigious.
What is it with the casual player base and assuming that everyone else agrees with their point of view? You’re the loud majority, because the people who worked to earn the mount, don’t care much for voicing their opinion on the matter, since the mount will be exclusive like it should be and we all know whining won’t change that fact.
Wait, you necro’d this thread to write 3 consecutive posts on this telling people that the game revolves not around them but around you?
What is “exclusive” or “prestigious” about it? It wasn’t earned, it was bought LOL. All you have to have are deep pockets to buy enough tokens to convert to gold and there you go. How laughable.
None of you have an actual point either. You’re all just whining about “Blizzard/Activision bad, no listen to people who no put in effort. People who put no effort entitled to have it”.
Explain to me why the T3 tier sets are so sought after, even to this day, other than the fact that they are the absolute best looking Tier sets in the game. Could it possibly be because they were removed and kept prestigious and not watered down by literally everyone wearing them?
How do you know that they had decided on it being exclusive at the start of BfA? Are they not allowed to release something and then restrict it later down the line, in fear of riots from the community? Do you want each expansion to take 5+ years to develop, just so that every single minuscule little detail has been covered, because god forbid they have to change a decision they made and anger the player base.
People who can’t afford the mount before Shadowlands releases are the same people who wouldn’t be able to afford it even if Blizzard had announced it’s exclusivity before BfA released. So why people are outraged over losing a bit of time which wouldn’t have changed anything, and then blaming Blizzard/Activision for it.
It’s honestly time to grow up. Life isn’t fair, stop throwing temper tantrums and get over it.
I hate this trend you guys are doing. Stop calling it that stupid name.
Your comment makes literally no sense. I earned my gold in-game, not by buying tokens. As did all other players who are millionaires in WoW. Just because you can buy tokens, doesn’t mean that people need to, in order to buy the mount.
Your same argument can be applied for CE, the Ny’alotha Allseer or any PvP achievement. If you have deep enough pockets, you can buy tokens to buy boosts in both PvE and PvP. So by that logic, nothing in the game is prestigious anymore because you can pay for it using bought tokens, regardless of if you did or not.
Blizzard: please stop removing stuff.
signed, a longboi owner.
There, you got your bite.
I never claimed it revolves around me, I’m just calling out entitled little brats who whine about how they deserve something just because it was put in the game, and I called them out for assuming everyone agrees with their opinion, while also providing a differing opinion.
As for necro, in this case you can actually blame Blizzard for not merging the forums and forcing EU players to just watch the… well… you know what Taliesin calls the US forums, instead of being able to take part in them.
I simply couldn’t stay away from a good laugh while reading what can only be described as a kindergarten before the mid-day nap and simply had to partake in the fun of calling people out for their temper tantrums.
