So anyone who doesn’t agree with YOU, the deity of all things true and right, is incapable of independent thought and not entitled to their opinions, because they don’t agree with you? What makes YOUR opinion the one true and divinely correct opinion, that all mortals must share? You’re literally so entitled that you endorsed making IRL threats and showing up at Ion’s house, to get YOUR point across, because you simply can’t fathom that you aren’t correct.
Exclusivity gives players something to push for. You being too casual at the game to push for it, is no reason for Blizzard to not add exclusive items just to appease their mighty overlord, who’ll throw a temper tantrum every time someone dares disagree with him.
Well… why am I not surprised that you ACTUALLY talk about Jesus a few posts down, and literally talk about him as if you are acting like he did. Yikes…
If they did that, 100 identical whine-threads would be started every week. There’s a reason everyone knows how Taliesin and Evitel sum up the US forums, because they never change. They’re a goldmine of free comedy.
It’s blizzard deciding to be petty. They’ve had gold sink mounts before. But this one, they decided that they had to change things. They HAD to go and say “Let’s find ways to bilk the players. Some will be so desperate they’ll buy TOKENS.”
Except maybe people are upset because they’ve done gold sink mounts in the past and didn’t remove them. It reeks of greed on Blizzard’s half. Since gold now has a semi-tangible value in the form of tokens.
So Blizzard put the equivalent of a real world cash value on something in game. That’s a scary thing when you think about it.
It’d be nice if the game didn’t suck so you know, they wouldn’t have to bilk players to begin with.
That’s wishful thinking though. It’s like they cannot understand player agency is what got them so many players to begin with so every iteration is more on rails, more scripted, more mundane, more polarizing.
I didn’t even notice that. Just saw this and was “yup, that’s skinwalker the troll up to his usual tricks.” But yeah, a huge necro, and nothing positive, just spitting in people’s face.
I’m willing to bet that a large chunk of Brutosaurs were purchased with WoD/Legion mission table gold. And that required only a couple minutes each day.
I ask myself this all the time. The funny thing is watching “pro gamers” go play other games and get destroyed. As if all that time in WoW honed their abilities as pro gamers.
To be clear I don’t mind burning time on something I enjoy doing. Just retail hasn’t been enjoyable on that front ever since the world quest debacle.
If that is the case, then how is that prestigious?
People who own this mount want others to know they sacrificed more than DHs to have it.
I guess you could buy WoW tokens for real money (I’m certain some have) and get it. Or play the AH, but that is pretty time consuming, too. Or sell runs, but most players can’t do that.
