besides, everyone who is intelligent enough to finish university is also smart enough to PhD so being a student already kinda proves you can do it

PHD path usually moreso about hard work and dedication - it can take a long time but I’m stubborn enough as a person so that it doesn’t really matter.

Masters vs PHD do have differences, unique research is usually the most difficult part which I’m already accounting for.

They’re definitely still different though, but what matters most is just a strong will and disgusting unhealthy obsession/dedication but I’ve already had that feeling towards WoW and I find the same feeling towards this which gives me confidence in myself. It is not easy for sure, but he obviously knows very little about me (no one here would).

Broken soul part is the best feeling, you need a certain kind of masochism to enjoy the reward after being so miserable that you want to give up only to succeed.

Just at a basic level that is what even motivates my enjoyment of mathematics, as the process of struggling until you grasp something is hard to beat. Same feeling as when you deal with a hard match up in a game, you lose over and over and keep trying until you finally get it and it was all worth.

You will get your PhD!! I’m 46 and about to graduate from nursing school. It’s the hardest thing I have ever done. Once I am done I will have 3 degrees including a BSN. Just stay focused, worry about yourself ONLY, and make sure to spend time away from your studies. That’s been the hardest part for me. I have some issues that have made it exceptionally hard for me and I can study for 12-16 hours a day. DON’T. DO. THAT… I’m done after this. I’d love to get my Masters and PhD but I just can’t take anymore school. It’s just been too much.

Thanks! I’m only 24 so I definitely feel pretty young. I’m prepared to give up WoW whenever necessary tbh, my biggest worry is how much I do enjoy what I’m doing because I know it can make me a workaholic lol. I can do the same thing, just get so focused on working that I put in wayy too much time on it.

Thankfully my GF does a great job keeping me grounded in reality - gunna have to watch out to make sure I balance everything.

Dilly is literally one of the most least biased ,well spoken people on the forums it’s hilarious to me that this rot guy is serious. I assumed he was a troll but now I’m pretty sure hes just as dumb as he posts. If you actually want to get good at arena you should focus on your mistakes not find excuses as to why your bad to make yourself feel better.
