Confirmation about transfers from anni to era

Can we please get an update about transfers from anniversary to era,I would like to know whether or not the characters I level on anniversary will be able to be copied to era when tbc comes out. From what ive seen playing era most players would like dual spec/instant mail/no buff & debuff limits so adding those changes to era then copying anniversary characters over would be a slam dunk in many players eyes imo.

Keep that crap off ERA for the love of god. They could easily clone the characters minus those things.

The silence is deafening though as usual from Blizz.

seems to me like just good changes overall. before i continue chatting i have to ask, do you even play era? or are you just another kargoz impersonator saying things about era when you have no idea what the server wants

Era is a permanent vanilla server from the “no changes” classic timeframe. Yes I do. Although if “everyone” wants tons of changes they might as well delete it or roll a fresh full of Sod/Som/Anniversary and whatever else people want version.

Many of us wanted to stay in vanilla classic after the original ended and this is what they gave us. I enjoy it like it is. Just as I would enjoy a TBC era as it played then too.

“no changes” is hilarious, as if there arent a million changes already in era that people have no issues with. people want changes to make the server better. post era logs please and thank you :slight_smile:

Alot of people fighting over nothing here lol. They are being closed soon enough. Enjoy anniversary before the classic expirement is over next year.

im on team no dual spec in era but instant mail and the debuff limit gone should be a no brainer. id like to see a cost reduction in respeccing 50g a respec is ridiculous. respeccing should be capped at 1g

also we need tbc era and wotlk era. also give vanilla era annual aq40 gate opening and naxx invasion events. lower honor break points at higher ranks. also repeatable wb drops!!!

Most Era players do not want those changes – one of the reasons we stayed in Era actually – so moving to Era would hopefully - like for SoM - mean that any “improvement” not existing in Era is lost in transfer.

There is no changes in Era that I do NOT have issues with, and I have throughout Classic’s existence protested against most if not all of them (not so much the PvP ones, as I do not PvP, I just threw them a #NoChanges now and then).

You can’t what? Transfer? We know this - OP is asking about the future. Get an update? - we will eventually. But let’s hope sooner than later.

I would be fine if they allowed anniversary characters to be copied over and adjusted to ‘era’ settings, e.g. no dual spec, etc.

This thread and your logic is actually a perfect example of how the ‘fallacy fallacy’ and ‘slippery slope’ is not just a fallacy and a very real thing. Just because there are some bad changes does not mean we should keep allowing and striving for even more changes. You give some people an inch an they take a mile. A shame really.

If they allow for Anniversary → Era transfers it’s more likely they will ensure the transferred characters align with the current parameters of the Era servers. You’re asking to go to an Era server not a perma-Anniversary server.

the debuff limit needs to go to be honest and instant mail affects nothing. no dual spec in era though sure

If Anniversary or any other type of characters are permitted to be cloned to Era, it should be with Era settings.

Even if the characters become full Era toons - I wonder how much it will impact the Era economies.

Anniversary is like a year+ of 50,000 bots farming 24/7 with extra flower drops.

All the gold sellers could just clone their toons and obliterate Era economy for months or years :confused:

We still get stormrend threads and it was in the game for like a few days hahaha

i feel like when tbc launches they should be very clear about this and aswell as a tbc era realm when wrath launches
