Probably won’t help, since the devs consider not being able to delete the whistle to be a feature, not a bug.
That article is an example of CS creating something without fully communicating the details of an actual issue to the dev team (such as the fact that said quests are already done so there is no other purpose).
It’s definitely something they can and should adjust.

I’m pretty sure they don’t do that. CS has very little freedom to act outside of the direction of the developers. If it’s published as a Support article, it’s from the developers.
well… I tried contacting a GM about it… and i literally begged for it to be removed. they insisted that it’s intended and they won’t remove it!! I’m so annoyed that I’m tempted to annoy the GMs until they themselves get sick of me and tell the devs about it!

That would definitely solve the problem.
After they permaban your account for harassing CS staff, the fact you waste one bag space will be rendered completely irrelevant.
If you want to request the GMs reconsider this design choice, there are polite ways to ask. They are not guaranteed to change the developers’ minds but at least you won’t get fired as a customer.

that’s why i said “I’m tempted”!! not gonna do that!
but it’s irritating to have this in my bag, because at the start i picked up that quest with 6 of my toons!
There’s no way anyone above junior level design or development made the call that this item is intended to permanently waste a bag slot forevermore. Maybe not a bug but a major oversight, at best. Here’s hoping they pay attention to the feedback by 10.2.5 if there is one.
For that to happen, the feedback has to submitted appropriately.
Posting here will not work, because it’s not a bug (as evidenced by the support article and the GM interaction), and QA will not forward reports about non-bugs.
Use the non-bug feedback tools from the feedback support article to express your wishes to the developers.

im in the same boat here, conch whistle cannot be deleted, i had previously not looked here, but first made a bug report. i was directed to wowhead forums, a 3rd party site not even affiliated with blizzard for support. after reading their comments about it, i re opoened the ticket and clicked “the issue is not resolved”, again i clearly explained that the item was unwanted and i wished it to be deleted, and my ticket was cleared without a response while i was offline. is this good customer service ? seems to me that blizz could save the money they spend on gms and replace them with chat gpt bots, and use that money to pay coders who look into these issues.
I put mine up to my ear and all I heard was Blizz laughing…

You should be able to get rid of the Azerite Formation by infusing it with your Heart of Azeroth. I can see why the Heart and Shroud aren’t able to be deleted, they would fundamentally break several aspects of BFA.
But the Conch Whistle? After you’ve done the dailies to unlock the mount there is literally nothing else that can be done with it. This one makes no sense why it can’t be deleted!
I just stuck it in my bank, but it’s very annoying indeed.
Why would you WANT to delete this amazing item!? It gives you full ground mount speed indoors outside of instances!! The way this works is that by leveling up the Glimmerrog Racer faction your snail becomes faster. At rank 3 the movement speed is 140% and at rank 5 it is 200% (normal ground mount speed).
It seems like hardly anyone knows about this, which is maybe why they don’t let you delete it. I went out of my way to get it on all alts, which was easy to do by just turning in all the snail pet quests gets you to rank 3 (which is where this becomes useful).
Oh, it also gives you full fall damage immunity. Use this and jump off the Valdrakken tower, 0 damage taken!
