Computer Spec Question

Not sure if this is the correct place…but anyways I noticed that I have warning next to my characters name that when clicked informs me that I will be unable to run later versions of WoW with my current computer specs.

So I went looking and just wanted to double check the following specs on this computer I have my eye on will work properly or if any changes have to be made.

OPERATING SYSTEM: WINDOWS 10 HOME INCLUDED
PROCESSOR: Intel® Core™ i9-9900K Processor (8x 3.60GHz/16MB L3 Cache)
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER - 8GB GDDR6 - MSI GAMING X (VR-Ready)
MEMORY: 16GB [8GB x2] DDR4-3200MHz G.SKILL
STORAGE: 500 GB WD Black 3D Series SN750 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
Processor Cooling: iBUYPOWER DEEPCOOL GAMERSTORM RGB 240mm CASTLE 240EX Liquid Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock Z390 PHANTOM GAMING 4S - ARGB Header (1), USB 3.2 Ports (4 Type-A), M.2 Slot (1)
Power Supply: 800 Watt - High Power - 80 PLUS Gold

I appreciate any and all feedback and if this is in the wrong place then just let me know where it should be placed.

This is probably more about driver versions than hardware.

We have, however, seen a number of people plug their monitors into their motherboards and not their graphics cards, which may also get this type of message.

You could post a dxdiag if you want to troubleshoot.

Hi Gornur

As Zungar mentioned would be good to take a look at a DXDiag System report here.

The second section of page has DXDiag report instructions - we don’t require the MSinfo report.

That will be a wall of text. If you have issues pasting on the Forum here go ahead and put it up on pastebin.com. Provide the link code portion of the URL - example below.

(The green bold portion at the end of this example link: https://pastebin.com/Qk28Ed1P <=== this code)

Alternately you can place the link in a Preformatted Text box. Paste the link in the chatbox - then highlight it. Click the preformatted text button along the top of the chatbox - looks like this </>

Will look like this example afterwards:

Hey there,

Based on the info in your report the system is well above the required/recommended specifications for the game. It sounds like you may be seeing the “Driver out of date” message for which we should be able to resolve the issue by using GeForce (or the Nvidia website) to download the latest version.

Of course if the game is playing just fine updating is optional. We just wanted to provide the info to players who may need the update to prevent crashing or performance issues.

Hope the info helps. Cheers!

I first wanted to thank everyone for taking a look and their advice. I also wanted to clear up some confusion. The specs I shared were for a computer I was thinking/looking into buying.

In retrospect In retrospect I should have shared the specs of my current computer, at the very least as a compare and contrast. Either way I do appreciate Kaldraydis informing me the computer specs I shared are above required/recommended specifications for the game, and thus will operate the game with no issue.

With all that that said here is the system information of the dxdiag of my current computer.

I see now Gornur. I should have read more carefully so I take some blame. That Ibuypower system should have no issues with any game currently on the market.

You may want to check into monitors. No sure what you have right now. Get full value from that gaming system.
