I am in MoP remix and thought now would be a great time to play an Augmentation Evoker…except with no knowledge out the gate of what to do and how to play one it is this overwhelming feeling of needing to research and I guess I can’t function properly without a WA?
I don’t know what to press and what to not press when to press, etc…I want to be a buff cannon for my dungeon party

You don’t need a ton for dungeons, specifically.
Someone will advise checking WoWhead for an Aug guide, but I’ll give the basic rundown here if it helps.
First, don’t solo as Aug. It’s just not designed to do it well. If you’re In a group, though, your basic gameplay loop involves casting Ebon Might and maintaining that buff by spending Essence and Essence Burst procs on Eruption. To further supplement, Prescience will auto-target pretty well in small groups so send it on CD and it will buff people. Fill with Living Flame to fish for Essence Burst procs and cast your empower spells (Flame Breath and Upheaval) whenever you can IF you have already applied Ebon Might.
Follow those fundamentals and you’ll get it figured out. There’s obviously more nuance, but those are what you’ll spend the majority of your time doing. Also apply your Blistering Scales buff to the Tank, Source if Magic to your Healer, and have at it.
Note: this is in regards to a max-level Aug. I have no idea when you unlock various spells via leveling for Evoker, so some levels may feel weird if you’re missing any of the tools listed above. Best of luck, mate!

Honestly, leveling as Aug is a difficult choice. It’s very much designed for support and apparently the lower levels are not well designed for running lone wolf. As Aug you’re basically a living trinket for yourself and party members, meaning that you’re boosting what’s there, and if there isn’t much there to boost…
As for abilities, Ebon Might is the ability you use to boost yourself and others and an Aug’s goal is to keep the buff it grants active both by using other abilities and for those same other abilities sake to make them stronger.
It sounds complicated, but all you really need to focus on to best learn the class is how to keep the Ebon Might buff active while attacking targets.
At the most basic level, you want to be using your empowered spells and spending essence on Eruption when Ebon Might is active to extend it, and when Ebon Might isn’t up, you want to be mostly hitting Living Flame, saving essence for when Ebon Might is ready again, only spending when you would be capped on essence. The most basic way to mess up Aug is to have Ebon Might come off of CD with no essence/Essence Bust procs.
Also, use Prescience on CD. It will auto-target if you don’t care to micromanage it.
