Shadowlands will be the first expansion where unrated only players will be shut out of competitive gear unless they do content they don’t want to do. BFA was close but not quite.
What you are saying is not reality.
To quote myself:
I don’t want pvers to suffer on account of random BGers. I don’t want arena players to suffer because of PvErs. I don’t want random BGers to suffer because of PvErs. I’d like all of these communities to be happy playing the content that they want to play.
I don’t want any one community to suffer because of another community. I think there is a solution that works where all can be happy. I don’t want what they have done for arena players changed. It looks good and if it makes that community happy, that is great.
But, you are incredibly biased towards your own playstyle and what benefits you the most.
To believe that a gladiator should have a gear advantage that allows them to make mistakes and still beat random BG “scrubs” that would have otherwise beat them on an even playing field and then accuse the scrubs that would have won as being entitled is just flat out absurd.
You are literally saying that you believe gear should be the primary factor in determining pvp outcomes rather than gameplay.
As far as gear progression, I am for it. But, I also believe that every pvper, regardless of the format they prefer to play in, should have a pathway to competitive gear. The reason why is because these players end up fighting each other outside of the rated format.
They shouldn’t be forced to play your preferred mode of content in order to compete just like rated players shouldn’t be forced to do pve in order to compete.
