There will be mass over crowding , lag , crashes . and chaos. Blizzard will be forced to open up servers and split up large chunks pasted ph1. No big number will quit. Retail is trash and a total joke. Everything blizzard has is a joke. SC2 is trash , D3 is trash , HS is crap , OW is crap , WOW IS CRAP, They only have the past which they did not make. They are garbage devs and fools. I have had a enough of all this. Either do Classic right or burn blizzard and melt away. Your dead to me at that point.
True fans of classic will want to be able to make a name for themselves in PVP, crafting, ECT … Layers 100% prevents this … Do not come here from your little insignificant spot on the modern forums like you have any idea what your talking about …
The problem is a majority of people don’t post their oppinions on the internet and those that do tend to turn thigns into an echo chamber.
They are trying to hit a moving target, and they don’t even know its coordinates or the speed it is traveling. Nobody knows how many people will resub for Classic in two weeks. Nobody knows how many will stay long term. They are trying to make it as flexible as possible, so we don’t end up with a bunch of dead servers that need to be merged OR the need for layering past phase 1, but that can’t be an easy task when they just DON’T KNOW.

110,000 people for both American continents? Are you serious? There’s no way Blizzard expects that few players on launch.

Server selection is very important to players. It’s not ignorant to be critical of the fact that we are so limited. Blizzard is underestimating the amount of people that are going to play. Everyone is talking about it. Clearly people have an issue with it. I mean, the Spanish and Portuguese speakers don’t even have their own server so they are forced to join American servers for crying out loud.
