Community Too Crappy for Skippable Dungeon Quests

That would make me feel happy only out of spite, but honestly I’d rather not see major changes in the way people like to play the game to the point where it’s adversely affecting a playstyle of some players. I’d just like them to plant quest mobs on the main course of the dungeon so they can’t be skipped.

I am ok with spite at this point. They changed my game so much to accommodate other players while sacrificing what I like, I am fine with it swinging back the other way for a dozen years or so

This is why the old saying, Eye for an Eye makes the whole world blind is a thing. Do we really want everyone to be demon hunters? After we get our vengeance they would want us to suffer more for their own vengeance. Back and forth is never good. Just fair and equal design and forgive all wrongs done previously is the only path forward. Otherwise the community just gets overly divided by different game niches that each of us like.

Sadly it already is. I haven’t raided since Dragon Soul though I have done some LFR. I mainly am here to play with my grown kids. I will mess around with WQ but that’s because it’s the only part of the game left I can identify with.

If my kids would play it, I would be much happier in P99. They like the 100 button presses and the gogogog mentality but can’t handle careful pulling or punishment ton death

I feel that, I became mostly a solo and quest player years ago. I miss the rewards you get in community content but I really don’t miss the community. Used to do a fair bit of raiding back in WoTLK, but these days people just don’t feel the same. So I only group when I have to and it’s almost always a terrible experience. I’d be happy if someone would design a single player game like an MMo with the subscription and regular content updates, maybe mix in the auction house as the only multiplayer experience.

I have never had the issues since BC…honestly. Normally folks either are on it also or just help if needed. Now if its a convoluted 30 min process yeah i can see most saying no. Its not solution to underlying issue but make a premade group specific to that quest.

I’d be happy if someone would design a single player game like an MMo with the subscription and regular content updates, maybe mix in the auction house as the only multiplayer experience.

I will say I like seeing other people running around. Kinda like going to the Mall in the old days. Can see all the people there, but I never had a reason to interact with 99% of them

No matter what it’s a bad quest design. Just like having the quest giver outside the dungeon… These are some ancient quest designs that shouldn’t be around to this day. Blizzard knows better yet here we are.

yeah having people around you does add to that entire world feeling a live bit of the immersion. Although sometimes it can be a bit of a pain as well. Was trying to quest near the black dragonflight earlier today it was so swarmed evertyhing was tagged. RIP, was soooo hard to get keys today. Not sure why that place got overpacked all of a sudden.

Everyone just skips right over it, and when I ask if we can do they vote kick me.

Hate to be that person but as you’re a DK, you could tank the dungeon, thereby leading the group yourself and getting your quest done.

I have no business tanking. I would rather not be selfish and put others through my slow response times as a tank just to get a quest done. I think it’s a little weird people sometimes think just because someone has the ability to tank, it means they actually can or should tank.

It’s an option not every DPS has. I was just throwing it out there.
Hopefully you get a group where the tank needs it as well, like I just had a couple of hours ago. So we cleared that alcove and got the core.

That’s why I usually choose low pop realms or wait a month or so on a new expansion. This time a made a slew of new char on a new server (will be my dwarf server) with one of every class for regular and DI. Will fill out with the final classes as they add them.

Kinda fun to do stupid things like this since I like living but not endgame

Ya, people will hate me for saying this but I actually liked the artifact weapons in legion. Being able to progressively increase my characters power on my own terms felt really freaking good. Same with the BFA gear. Not sure why people hate artifact power so much.

Haha was actually going to be a PoE 2 fan butttttttttt, They kinda blew up that game with Chris’s terrible vision. So yeah, am hoping Diablo 4 will be amazing.
