I think it’s a really good case for them going on their own with expansion reveals instead of trying to jam it into a 5 minute stage segment in gamescom.
Maybe but until they announce it, please spread the word, this is going to be a kick in the shin for a lot of people, better to get it out of the way sooner than later.
Good. That’s how it should’ve been when they revamped the system in Legion, and it’s one of the reasons I preferred SWTOR’s wardrobe system. Also, no need to rework a void elf racial.
Yep that’s pretty much all I wanted. I have five basic outfits that I float through on my RP characters and usually one outfit on my PVE characters. So I can set it and forget it and only have to pay for it once. So it’s definitely going to be free for me.
On one hand, this is nice that we don’t have to waste any gold or worry about having to stop and apply a mog if we get an upgrade; however, this going to be an extremely major pain with how I make GIFs in some situations. Overall, though it’s going to better for the vast majority of players and situations, but it’ll probably make me think hard if I’m willing to put in a lot more time and thousands of gold—currently, I use a mix of heirloom and very low-level greens to apply mogs to, only costing a handful of gold because vendor value is low—to make one GIF if that particular GIF idea requires a lot of transmog/costume changes. We’ll see how this works out for this.
Even though this may affect me negatively in that regard, I actually do prefer per-slot over per-item transmog systems in other games, so I still support this change. It’ll be better for me in every case of just playing the game even if it’s a net negative for when I’m playing extremely-short-movie director.
