lets not do what ow 2 does its infact if not worse then the matchmaking we have now

I don’t know, I have pretty balanced games in OW generally. I don’t know about competitive, but Quick match there is a fairly balanced experience. Yeah, it can be stomp after stomp sometimes, but at least you’re on both sides of it equal amount of times per game session.

That’s the whole purpose of MMR — to make the two teams more fair.

When you have random teams with no MMR, you get the very imbalanced matches that occur in WoW random bgs. A hidden MMR would decrease the frequency of these bad matchups.

OP, we all had a giggle at your toon name last night, you put up a good fight in AV. Quite the pest. GG.

14 times I had to assault those mf towers

Hehehe…was fun.

Here is some real talk. PuGs like to do their own thing, quit after 1st fight, or just not listen. If PuGs would listen and actually want to play an organized strategic match then premades wouldn’t matter as much because you would be toe to toe and actually compete. So before whining about premades, correct the way you play when entering a battlefield.

P.S. There is also a voice channel pugs could get into to communicate, but refuse to do so…

Yeah, let’s move toxic raid text chatter to voice format so people can REALLY learn to appreciate each other.

mute the toxic member? None of you play csgo? or any fps game? Same thing. Also vote/report that member off.

Then, again… I might have enjoyed hearing the voice version of this.

I’ve changed my position. There should be non-optional voice chat with no muting.

Lol, isn’t Herc’s main a rogue though?

Yes, they knew. Looks like they were trolling.

how to get around the OP’s suggestion:

solo q but still sync q’s.

tired of seeing threads about how to dumb down this game by the people playing the least amount of it.

lot these ppl too soft these days unfortunately.

How many times ya’ll going to make a post about this? Blizzard would rather people play with friends than solo. There aren’t enough premades for them to just fight other premades. Stop making this thread for the love of God.

I think it shows up all the time because it bothers a lot of people. Something changed in DF for matchmaking and it’s absolutely killing the solo Q experience.

No, that’s really not what pugs do.

I won’t try to say every single pug does exactly what they should, yeah in an average pug bg you’ll probably have 1 pug afk and lose a flag cap that you have to get back, or 1 pug running off doing god knows what in an epic when there’s a relatively clear-cut strategy at that stage of the game… but for the most part, people do what they should.

As far as PuGs quitting after first fight, that is a behavior that happens BECAUSE of the premade culture that’s overtaken random epic bgs.

People think there’s no winning against that well executed of a strategy with people who have probably played together previously, and rightfully so, because it’s certainly far more of an uphill battle than a random 40v40 is intended to be.

It’s gotten so bad these past 2 weeks, that most epics I queue into on the alliance side don’t even have 35 players let alone 40. Usually starting with somewhere around 31-32, then by the time first fight ends and the game is already over because we lost it and people are leaving, people start to trickle in.

People aren’t even queueing because of it.

And just to add : This isn’t just for the benefit of the alliance, anyone who’s actually pvping for fun doesn’t enjoy a stomp. A stomp is ridiculously boring, over in 2-5 minutes, and now you’re sitting back in queue flying around on your HowtoTrainaDargon

I don’t know if Blizzard changed matchmaking.

It’s possible that more and more pugs have stopped PvPing as premade communities grow, so extremely imbalanced games have become more frequent, especially during prime time when premade communities are running epic bgs.

It’s also a poor gameplay experience when games are starting with one team half empty because premade raids decided to drop their queue pops.

Blizzard did warn us that premade raids drive other players away from PvP.

Totally likely and what a horrible thought.

Communities essentially killing random BGs because rather than man (or woman) up and play actual rated, they need to play with rated strategy and communication against pugs.

they wont even if blizz got rid of premades these threads would still pop up daily
