Community Council member unleashes their inner Worgen

Before a certain point black-and-white pandaren couldn’t have long tails either. Yet now, here we are.

EDIT: In fact, red pandaren couldn’t have nub tails either. So both options opened up to both colors. With zero fanfare or explanation.

Zero devs working on the game currently have that experience, let alone helped build the game or create Worgen. Especially given the concept art had tails, so. (Ever notice how it’s level 10 alts saying stuff like this?)

My posting charcters level is irrelevant. If we’re going off of what someone has accomplished in-game on their posting character then you’ve done nothing also.

Ironically you’re in another thread defending gambling. Pretty sure scamming is against the game rules but here we are.

Like the Worgen Alpha model? Hmm…

Actually I recall a quote saying the tails at the time, BECAUSE of the people (like yours) feedback that got the Alpha model changed, didn’t get done because they had no time left. They released the race in an unfinished state.

It isn’t, given the context of not doing any of the content.

this is out of left field and nothing to the convo but theres a bedet company called tooshie i really enjoy.
i hope you are the mascot of that company.

Lol, not quite. There’s a Pandaren called Toshi as well as the Tushui Pandaren, though of course by now those names are quite taken. I don’t mind though, it ended up being a very different but funny name than intended. I would advocate for bidets, though, they’re great.

Are you seriously suggesting they let the Worgen player base rot on purpose? I’m really in the wrong timeline here.

To be honest, the speed feels somewhat slow, even if you travel faster. But this is more of a teleportation problem around both main continents, which hasn’t been addressed very well.

And when we’re at it: Where is the portal to Gilneas?

They need to address it. They used a Nightborne Suramar mount (!) as their racial mount now? Are they scared of giving them the PVP horse with the flag/without the flag?

These developers really don’t know how to handle the game.

This might be possible but will not help. For now, you should RP in Boralus. The two main continents need a complete overhaul. I RPed the past days in Boralus and let me tell you, it has so, so, so many unknown spots and places. They have a food court, several restaurants and even an auction house hidden there in the several parts of the city you will never actually see without a quest.

The user was never this hard to handle, it’s their sheer bitterness which makes them easy to use like a puppet on a string. And they fulfilled their role very well.

They didn’t want to fulfill flying either, removing borrowed powers or make world quests a hassle. Please let me put this extra in bold now:

The reason you enjoy Dragonflight is because people complained and rallied for a better game system. Without the constant whining, nothing of this would be your current reality. It’s the collective effort why DF is enjoyable to most of us. And the collective mass also has enough how the Worgen are treated. Especially when they gave them a Nightborne racial mount as reward, no tails, no Greymane attack animations for melee combat and so on.

To be fair, this was an international outcry. Not only the Americans. Everyone agreed on High Elves. Absolutely everyone. I read topics in French, from the UK and Chinese ones. Everyone said basically the same: The Void Elves should have been High Elves.

That’s true, but at the same time it’s really weird that it goes against the Worgen/Wolf-fantasy worldwide, where they are pictured with tails. It was generally a mistake not giving them tails, if you ask me. It’s “lacking”. Imagine that Pandaren would not have black spots in WoW. It simply goes against nature or established tropes.

And besides, they have the tail skeleton already on the Worgen.

I don’t understand your posting. They also cater to your desires in playing a beautiful human being with pointy ears, why aren’t other allowed to have their requests also fulfilled?

And yet you received a similar Paladin storyline exclusive to Blood Elves at the end of SL too, right? Where the disconnection lies is that elf-players are always prioritized and Worgen are long overdue for more features, which are already in the game. The city (check), a portal to Gilneas (…), Greymane’s melee claw animations (…) and of course, the tails. And a revision of the Nightborne mount, which you got with completing the Gilneas questline.

Either way, they need to address it. The Worgen race will “die out” within the next 20 inGame years, because it’s a curse and they can only reproduce by biting each other.

A lot of us don’t want tails. We’re Worgen, not a guy in a fursuit.

That’s why people are asking for Optional tails. For those who don’t want it. We’re not trying to force something on people who don’t want it. Just asking for the option for those who do.

As much as a history textbook suggests past events.

you’ve done 0 endgame, you don’t even know what content is beyond questing. lol

What endgame haven’t I done? You didn’t even make it to 11.

I cannot follow this logic. The inGame model doesn’t look a human at all. If you want to see a human in a fursuit, then look at yourself, when you wearing the inGame BlizzCon pajamas.

Because there’s a stigma attached to it that by default gets applied to ALL Worgen players and the tails further emphasize it.

It’s offensive and not progressive to call every anthropomorphic animal player a furry “by default”. Are the Disney animators of the original Snow White or Robin Hood furries, because they draw super appealing animal designs, which changed the history of animation forever?

No. Don’t bring these needless topics up. A worgen is basically a wolf without a tail, which was a mistake to begin with. The Worgen design is also flawed inGame and does not contribute to the “classiness” you see in the cinematics or artworks. The developers need to work on them, it’s a selling point of the player races in WoW.

What Stigma is that?

I’ve only skimmed through the thread, but… do some people here really get worked up artificially because players, among other things, wish for more customization options for Worgen? Are they aware that they don’t have to use certain adjustments, which would make other people happy? That no one is forcing them to choose those specific options? Good grief… some people in this community…

I get the impression that people don’t know how to read what is being asked exactly. Is having something optional really a problem to understand? Do you truly want us to believe that this will go against the traditions, lore, and other idiotic justifications surrounding the game? Do you really think that allowing Worgen to have OPTIONAL tails is going to destroy all of that? Honestly…

You know, you don’t have to emphasize this point by mentioning a tail. The absence of a tail doesn’t prevent players from engaging in this behavior, and adding a tail won’t alter the situation in the end. The stigma is already present from the moment there’s an anthropomorphic creature; people are simply immature and haven’t grown up yet.

Frankly, I don’t know what to say when I read something like this. So the idea of wanting something present on different art is a phantasm?

So it’s a furry delirium in your perspective. Does it make sense to you that a race created 13 years ago is still limited in choices, without the option for more customization, solely because it’s considered a “furry” race or played by individuals with “furry fantasies”?

Are you aware that the loss of Gilneas dates back to Cataclysm, an expansion released in 2010, which has been one of our most frequent requests ever since? Do you truly believe it makes sense to have a 15-minute quest after such a prolonged waiting period? A questline that is far less scripted than some of the optional quests you’ll find in any expansion.

I’m well aware that Blizzard’s vision may differ from ours, and this contrast can even be observed in the Diablo universe. In Diablo 2, the werewolf has a tail, whereas in Diablo 4, it is portrayed without one altogether.

The introduction of customization is primarily because it’s appealing, with little consideration for lore in the end. Lore is often compromised for gameplay or in response to player demand. I can share that the upcoming race already faces a lore issue, particularly with their ability to be Death Knights.

Ultimately, the concern isn’t whether the addition of tails will be accepted or not; it feels like we’re being overlooked with no response, apart from a joke for one race…

We’ve never demanded that this option be mandatory, but over the years, we’ve noticed that many people are opposed to adding a tail. That’s why we’re requesting it to be an option, nothing more, nothing less. If you want a tail, you can add it. If you don’t want one, you can remove it.

So it’s “disrespectful to an entire community” to not do exactly what 3 random members wanted now?

By that logic it’s disrespectful to an entire community that worgen are still playable in game.

It’s disrespectful to the entire Human Female community that it’s 2024 and we are still doing the macarena lol.
