Uhhh what?
Nevermind. I’m overthinking things again.
I just think you took my statement and completely disregarded the brazilian government actually destroying the forest on purpose to kill and displace native peoples. I didn’t mention that explicitly so it’s my fault for not being specific but that’s what I meant lol
Just going to say that the Darkshore warfront proved that Night Elves (and, by extension, quite likely the other major druidic cultures) legit grow their own wood at rapid pace to meet their needs.
Hmmmm… nah, not seeing a reason we should use that to remove that excuse from the orcs given the Horde has 2 druidic civilizations among it now.
The trees attacked them first. You would have us forsake honor?
See, what we really need is an intervention with the orcs to make them understand that not all trees are the Botani.
that feel when you’re in Gorgrond and make a joke to your orc buddy and the trees also start laughing
Problem with that, sadly, is that we let the Botani in when we recruited the Mag’har. Worse, IIRC, they ran off into the Barrens in the general direction of the Forgotten Pools and the Wailing Caverns. It is only a matter of time before those leafy genocidal maniacs cover all of Kalimdor in their damnable podlings and start trying to breed genesaurs.
I’d be amazed if the Botani ever actually make it out of Blizzard’s lore basement again.
That said, I’d also be interested in seeing the Botani make it out of Blizzard’s lore basement since that could be a fun expac that involves the life portion of the cosmic chart.
We STILL have that ledge next to the Mage District with the invasive plant life sprouting off of it. When are we gonna get someone on that.
Oh no! Stop them before they start a barrage of leafy Chuck Norris jokes!
Was it Med’an?
It’s Med’an, isn’t it.
Nah there was some kind of fel-corrupted relic.
I don’t get why demon hunters and warlocks are accepted members of any society. I would think - considering demons have been the big bad for a long time - that they should be treated like how people spat on DKs, at best.
I don’t remember anyone in RP actually spitting on DKs either tbf. Probably because antagonism without communication tends to devolve into drama.
DH have had far less interaction with the outside, and by default must have a different public perception. The first time 98% of the world would have interacted with them was when Demon Hunters came in and immediately started rooting out infiltrators in the faction’s ranks and trying to save people out the gate. Long before that, they were very self-contained and self-sufficient with very little overlap or interaction with the outside world. DKs were the Lich King’s brainwashed pawns and people suffered at their hand.
I more meant after the starting quests when you arrive in the capital and no one likes you.
I thought the thread was on IC viewpoints in specific, more a matter of things that occur in roleplay than things that are canon or non-canon per se. My b.
yeah, why would anyone accept a group of people who consort with demons and become corrupted?
oh.
Anyway, here’s an IC viewpoint I don’t understand: still caring about race. By this point in time, every race except the allied races has been around for years. Why does anyone still care that draenei are space aliens or that Trolls used to be enemies? How is any character that has been living in Stormwind or Orgrimmar still surprised by how weird other people look? You’d think you’d just shrug and go “yeah whatever” at some point.
I think most of the reasons for conflict between races in this game are all contrived and incredibly stupi己d.
Tauren walks into a room and accidentally knocks a glass of ice water onto a gnome and now the gnome is like FROM THIS DAY FORWARD WE THE GNOMES HATE ALL TAUREN AND WILL STOP AT NOTHING UNTIL THEY ARE DEAD.
