Coming Later This Year: Shadowlands Season 4

FOMO?
You mean the sylvanas bow that’ll be there later also; not stopping you from continually trying to get it. If there is anything I learned from Guilds is that they won’t always be there for whatever you want.

FOMO is irrelevant in the context of what I was or even Maizou was talking about because said item or w/e isn’t going away.

While this certainly means 10.0 is a 2023 prospect, I’ll take this to wild out for a tier to kill time over purely WoDing it. Alot of the ideas do sound like a lot of fun and made my guild a bit hype.

So you want to go back into the content you had in 9.0 and 9.1? I’m sure 99.9% of the playerbase that raids does NOT want to reexperience Nathria and Sanctum. I’m also certain that Mythic guilds are not excited to have to reprog on Mythic Stone Legion Generals or Mythic Sylvanas.

So much fun illusioned as real content, instead of making a mini raid like they used to do with Sunwell or Ruby Sanctum.

Grimrail is literally the worst dungeon out of all of these. So small you have to manage your camera. First two bosses will feel real bad on Tyrannical. Not to mention how deadly some of those mobs will be on Fortified- can’t dodge much if you can’t move anywhere. Imagine Volcanic or Storming in this place…

It makes me wonder if we’d actually see another raid tier.

naw dude it’ll be better. Mythic SLG with affixes

seriously. this “idea” is so very, very, very bad.

Would love to see like some of the most fun BFA ones like freehold and waycrest add in

Those options are just horrible. How about picking the top two most beloved dungeons from the past expansions instead of the most reviled ones?

SL would probably be Necrotic Wake and something else.
BFA would be Freehold and something else.
Legion would be Halls of Valor and something else.
WoD is clearly up for vote right now.

Megadungeons have never felt good in the M+ rotation ever since they were implemented in Legion. They work really well as challenging group content both for more casual audiences looking to progress and complete them as well as the more hardcore people who want to do their hard modes.

I’m explaining why people will feel the need to do all the content. Because they’ll feel if they don’t, they’ll miss out on loot and fall behind on gear. That is how FOMO works in this scenario. That is why people will feel pressured to do all of the content.

If you fall behind it’s harder to catch up. If you fall behind in IO score it’s harder to get into keys, if you fall behind in PVP gear it’s harder to catch up in PVP, if you fall behind - you are left out.

ERGO people will feel pressured to do everything, so they don’t fall behind.

The sylv bow was never really FOMO because it was never BIS. People wanted it for the transmog, and knew they could get it later. That’s not really FOMO. Falling behind on gear and not being included in content because of it however, is FOMO.

I miss being able to Raid and have a life simultaneously. Four raid tiers is too much, and now this? Another version of the raid with increased difficulty you have to slug through if you want to be caught up to date.

Revert raiding to Normal and Heroic only. Stop designing the game for the top 5 percent.

Respectfully, this is kinda frustrating. Gearing right now is such a pain and is extremely expensive. I’ve got 3 characters I’m playing right now and attempting to slowly gain a 4 piece tier over all 4 of them is exhausting. My favorite part of playing is having my character geared out then making adjustments as the season goes on to perfect my play and character. The inbetween points of being thrown into the mess of everybody trying to gear out is not a lot of fun and forces a lot of toxic interactions between people. The idea of a season 4 could be fun, but something needs to give with all of the work done needed to gear up, get legendaries, etc. etc.

Just do a recolor of gear instead of higher ilvl. I don’t want mandatory farming of Nathria for bis smh.

So self control. They should learn it.

Guess I’m .1% but if the affixes are fun, I think I’ll have a great time with it

CN was actually fun. SoD was … no, I don’t want to do that again.

It’d be too much work for them to rebalance old raid tiers to Mythic difficulty.

Kara seems pretty beloved, honestly. Our M+ players were stoked. Taza makes sense because it will have been in a rotation by far the shortest amount of time (even though its a pain). Mechagon is questionable but I really liked it a lot of all the M+ dungeons in BFA.

So I don’t think the picks are bad.

Also, affixes in raids is just a terrible idea. Scrap it now.

And increased raid difficulty? This has been the most difficult raid expansion I’ve done since I started playing this game. People have quit left and right. My raid group couldn’t even finish heroic SoD because Sylvanas was such a convoluted mess. This tier in SOFO is already proving to be even worse and I can’t wait to see Anduin on heroic. Even normal feels like a heroic end boss.

Honestly, rather than bothering to add affixes to Shadowlands raids it feels like that effort would be better spent on making a Ruby Sanctum or Throne of the Four Winds short buffer raid to supplement Sepulcher and release it sometime in the fall to tide over til the next expansion.

People spent like 8 months in SoD and will be likely over a year in SotFO, trying to continue to make us do more annoying versions of them in the future isn’t going to go over well.

CN was not fun, you must not have had to struggle with Mythic Artificer when his abilities were off time. You must not have had to deal with the horridness of prenerfs on Council, SLG, or Sire progression.

Edit: Why am I not surprised, one kill on all those bosses lmao
