Oh wow, Eternal Keggers from Terenas? I remember that guild from my first server back in 2005
Nice! I was there in those days, to varying degreesā¦ more so on towards the end. I used to play Trinith, but I havenāt been that character for quite some time!
I dont really trust the idea of the ācommunityā trhing to enforce this fresh movement on DD. And so far what ive heard doesnt make it anymore appealing. Itās inevitable the usual things will start happening. Im waiting for Blizzard to make a real fresh, but I really want TBC. No boosts.
Until then ive got alternate means of fresh.
Currently just depressed that I canāt even get a group for Ragefire Chasm on the Mankrik server cluster as Horde. Stuck at level 18 because I donāt want to overlevel (judge me if you want, but I enjoy doing the dungeons at-level. The quests always give good rep, loot, and XP).
If you mean turtle WoW then good luck with their corrupt GMs who sell gear and gold xD
I guess it wonāt feel any different than Breast Milk Entertainment in that case, right?

Era is stagnating. Its heyday is long over. I mean, its a 20 year old game that hasnt had any new content added, so what do you expect? They need to do classic+ or its over for era.
I excpect the same old game and am happily playing it still.
Do Classic+ all you want, but keep Era/HC servers untouched.
In here to say that a āSeasonal Freshā that resets every 18-24 months seems like an easy win for Blizzard and the fresh crowd like myself.
Iād limit the number of servers so that when the rush ends they are still decent. I donāt know what they can/should do about GDKP and other stuff like that itās a hard problem.
Yea, Iāve been working on a Horde character and thereās just not enough people to support dungeon runs. Iām level 58 now and they have been few and far between while leveling.
If you want to play Horde, Whitemane is probably your best bet. They have a lot more population over there. If you want to PvE, consider rerolling to Alliance on Mankrik, thereās generally more people playing.
If both Horde and PvE is a must for youā¦ well, get questing I guess
The player base did it to themselves.
The players made it stagnant by racing and min maxing. Sure all that is ok in spare but going all out each phase really created alot of gaps between players within the first 2 years.
But it can be stagnant now all it wants so long as LFG stays alive and dungeons are being done. What we donāt want is that mentality of 2020 coming back again during lockdownā¦ So many sweats.
There are a quite a bit of OLD multiplayer titles that still are relevant even without new content. I donāt know what year the players think new content means the game is alive but itās somewhere around 2016-17 for me I saw the staple of if a game doesnt have content releases weekly or monthly its dead mentality.
Keep this in mindā¦ Iām 26ā¦ Iām not acting like some boomer but people need to stop this āspeed is keyā mentality for classic era. Itās why the realms are the way they are, from the constant speed runners and sweats from 2019. The economy suffered from it as well thanks to devilsaur mafias and lotus guilds.
Mankrik horde are fine. Available groups are not an automatic and never have been.
This gets at something really fundamental to vanilla WoW that many player/consumers in threads like these donāt seem to grasp. The game and its world donāt exist to serve any individual player.
That sounds like a really simple conceit to accept, but itās actually really difficult for a lot of people to get past. Weāve been conditioned not to think that way.
If I want to really play this MMO, if I want to form groups and build relationships, sometimes I have to do things that benefit others more than they benefit me. Sometimes I donāt automatically get exactly what I want, exactly when I want it.
Thatās vanilla WoW in 2004, thatās Era in 2024, but thatās also just life.
2020-2021 you could get groups while leveling within 20 minutes or less.
Compare that to now for a regular group on whatever dungeon you decide and add 4 hours to that number if you dont already have a tank present.
I see you late night in LFG quite a bit but I dont really see you looking for groups, just shooting the crap and joking around. So idk what you are on about xD
I do really enjoy the Mankrik cluster, and I hope you do too. If not, then Iām sorry for that.
I find that goofing around has value as a social lubricant, so long as it isnāt taken too far, and that helps me build suitable relationships within the game. In turn, those relationships make it easier to find groups.
If itās late at night and I canāt get a group for something specific, Iāll just join other groups or farm. Joining other groups or helping other people also helps build relationships, which also makes it easier to find groups later on.
I had fun in 2020, but that didnāt overwrite my previous experiences, it just textured them. I can understand how players would be depressed about 2024 Era not connecting with that 2020 mindset you mentioned earlier (lockdown sweats, content locusts, 20mins-or-less), but I think it says more about that particular mindset than it says about the game.
Itās just pserver players desperately trying to make a career out of Classic WoW.
Best off not playing with pserver players.
Normal people had their fill of Vanilla ages ago and have since moved on.
Or moved to Mankrik cluster where GDKPs are casual and dont steal host cuts.
You would be more depressed if all your characters were gone
