Coming back as ilvl 184 -- who has more fun, spriest or disc?

Hey all!

Really excited to get things going on my priest.

I wanted to ask peoples general feel about these two specs, and what would be more represented and provide more opportunity for me in 2s and 3s. I’m raiding as shadow, so I’m thinking a lot about just doubling down as shadow. I come up against a lot of spriests, feel like I’m winning the entire game on my war, then they gib my healer in the final stretch with mindgames.

Disc seems more versatile regarding comps, but against hpal or rsham (which I play with on my war) I normally stomp disc priests just due to ooming them.

But some discs never go oom. Definitely wondering what the difference is between these players and mana efficiencies. Gear maybe?

All in all, if I’m trying to get gladiator for the first time in my life, disc or shadow?

And based on that answer, what cheesy meta comp should I invest my time in playing?

Disc is the most played spec in arena right now, if that tells you anything.

Disc can do this as well, just play with an afflic lock or spriest.

Disc limits you to comps with strong control and burst like RMP, disc/rogue, disc/ret. Disc pushes the gas pedal with DA, amazing CDs, and good damage. It’s not a rot or dampening healer.

How much mana you spend is dependent on the comps being played. But in general, when disc has to rely on it’s direct heals, esp ult rad, we go oom very quickly. Our atonement applicators cost a a LOT of mana.

Both are strong right now, so just ask yourself if you want to heal or DPS.
