I’m glad you’re finally admitting the truth about yourself.

Ok, whatever, Rahmeil. Feels like you’re arguing because you just don’t want it to do well.
I really don’t care but since you brought up numbers and suggested it proved something, I thought I’d be helpful.

Man, its gotta be a major drag for anyone that starts playing this game JUST for the housing features, only to find out that they have to actually PLAY WOW in order to make any real progress with their house. LOL

Housing is cool and all, and well done, but its not in any way casually accessible, or enough of a “killer feature” that would get a new person to try Wow beyond being sponsored to do so.

No new player is buying an entire expansion, on top of paying a monthly fee, AND installing a 200GB game just to spend hours grinding gold in order to beta test housing. No matter how well done it is, it’s way to grindy. The developers are delusional if they think this is going to capture and maintain a significant demographic that was not already playing with….this.

Hell, I’m already enfranchised to this game, plus I tend to LOVE building in games, and even for ME this was not enough of a reason to upgrade to Midnight.

I appreciate Wow housing for what it is, and I will certainly give it a try once its added to the base game, but it’s not something I am willing to pay to play with.

If I am going to spend time building a house or a base, I will do it in No Mans Sky. Way more freedom and purpose to do so.

so very wrong…………………………….

slow clap “And there we go folks, it always devolves into this with these kinds of people..”

I think that’s the key with all of this new stuff like housing, prop hunt, etc. The 20 year old “grindy gameplay, good rewards” formula doesn’t bring in new players. You have games that have actually good gameplay loops these days. Playing should be fun along with good rewards.

I do think that’s another requirement. Have gameplay that’s actually interesting (aside from building) and rewards that aren’t just all ways to get more furniture. Even the most basic things like “you run 1% faster at housing level whatever” would be enough motivation for me. Not a great example, but it’s their job, they should think of the good ones.

That would be player power. They said from the get go that no player power would be tied to housing.

Yeah, I suppose that’s fine because some people hate housing, don’t need to force them into it. And I know they love their gear treadmill. I’d even take something like % XP increase for characters below max level, kinda like the warband benefit. Not strictly power, but a reason for me to do it. More furniture just doesn’t seem motivating enough for me to engage with it much.

Dang, can finally sell housing design. Big opportunities for the artistically inclined

Plenty of people use it. Sounds like it’s not for you. No one is forcing you to do it or forcing you to play World of Warcraft. No one is pushing it on you. You’re narrative is old, toxic, and why games evolve. Perhaps classic is for you. That’s where majority who didn’t evolve with the game went.

Yes the housing is a trap into trying to collect decor by playing the game. You can make a pretty great house with just the base decorations however
