Does the speed boost granted by wraith walk also stack with death’s advance? When both are active at the same time.
That’s a good question. I just tried testing this, I couldn’t really tell a difference. If they do stack, it’s such a minuscule boost that it’s not worth using 2 mobility cd’s at once.
Thank you. I too have test it but I wanted another option.
What is it for? If it’s PvP, I def wouldn’t use 2 mobility cd’s at the same time.
I was actually going to combine them so I’d have less buttons on my bar. I’m just a casual player who plays the game wrong.
Just make a macro with a modifier to swap between them. This is what I use:
#showtooltip
/cast [nomod] Wraith Walk
/cast [mod:ctrl] Death’s Advance
I have Ctrl bound to one of the side buttons on my mouse. To break out of roots, use Wraith Walk. If you’re just snared/slowed or need a speed boost, hit the modifier to use Death’s Advance.
Thank you, I know about the macro.
But like i said i play the game wrong.
I have a macros combining;
-empower rune weapon with chains of ice
-pillar of frost with [@player]death and decay
-mind freeze with death grip
-death’s advance with anti-magic shell
-lichborne with icebound fortitude
As you can see, I don’t play the game right. I also don’t do any significant high-end group content. I don’t want my style of play to hinder them.
Again thank you for your help.
very bad
extremely omega super ultra bad
just bad, but the least so at this point
meh, not good, but could be worse
pointless overlap very bad
That’s a lot of “Bads”. Especially the “Extremely omega super ultra bad”.
I thought “Totally the worst of the worst that are also somehow even worse than extremely omega super ultra giga turbo tera level” Bad is not enough of an exaggeration. ![]()
In all seriousness, some of these macros don’t even light up with globals. ERW with CoI combination. Odd one.
Not the omega super ultra bad
! I agree with your assessments.
I usually don’t stack cd’s except for burst macro. But I do have a Lichborne + Sacrificial Pact macro that I use sometimes, especially vs. high burst or double physical dmg comps where AMS is worthless.
It’s a nice heal & dmg reduction combo I’ll pop @ <50% health and healer is cc’d. Throw in a death strike or two to proc Bloodforged Armor and I’m able to save IBF a lot.
I also have just Lichborne on a separate bind if I need fear immunity on go’s, etc.
Chillpills already addressed these, but I’ll throw in my 2 cents:
Bad combo cause there’s plenty of times you won’t need a snare with ERW, so it just wastes a rune.
Also unnecessary for same reason as above.
Very bad since grip already functions like a kick, more or less.
Also very bad, cause in most cases overlap of speed boost & magic dmg reduction is not needed. Plus AMS will negate a lot of incoming snares anyway.
Extremely omega super ultra bad to overlap two big defensive cd’s. Especially with Lichborne being a cc break/immunity that’s needed offensively quite a bit to maintain burst uptime, instead of losing half your dmg sitting in fear (e.g., vs. Locks & Priests).
Well let’s see here. If anyone was still interested.
I’ve been making some adjustments to my macro combos, I had them the way they were due to talent choices. Here is my new set;
-cast sequence Reaper’s Mark, Soul Reaper (just a little extra damage)
-Empower Rune Weapon, [@player] Death and Decay (again a little extra damage, I know ERW can be done at range but I’m in melee 90% of the time.)
-Pillar of Frost, Anti-Magic Shell
-Mind Freeze, Death Grip (still thinking about this one)
-cast sequence Lichborne, Icebound Fortitude
