Even the act of collecting transmog is gameplay itself it’s called collecting items. All games have this and every game with customization is essentially looking the way you want to.

And you are hiding on an alt. So yes, you got called on it. If you didn’t wish to be known you were hiding on an alt, then you shouldn’t have started insulting people and saying you knew them and you’ve been here for a long time.

Correct, i mean i still remember the times where games have unlockable costumes that you have to unlock via playing the game… Yes, that is also still a thing today, though not as common.
I think the real irony that is thread is just a big’o huge “I hate this game for something it has now” when it has that since vanilla and classic. And he’s paying Blizzard to keep on doing that essentially.

Collecting is the only thing that keeps me playing this game. I don’t see why people care about raiding or m+ personally and would have quit a long time ago without collections. I don’t think the games became all about collecting, if anything the game is way too focused on raiding/m+.
