you press “frost nova” to keep the mobs away, pick the herb, and move on with your day. as long as the mobs aren’t hitting you, you can pick nodes or open chests.
in korthia however, being in combat literally prevents you from interacting with chests.
well that’s nice for you then. I always had to kill the mob if I wanted to mine things and I had the same thing happen someone else came along and mined the node when I was killing the mob.

and you can sheep without putting yourself in combat so what’s the issue?
As long as you don’t get hit which will cause an interrupt you can loot while in combat. I was using my voidwalker to do it today.

considering that you thought you couldn’t open a chest with aggro out in the non-korthia world, it might come as a shock to you that not everyone has sheep.

Yes.
I’ve done that countless times.
You have never been able to loot chests, but you have always been able to collect resources and most of the time quest items.
Go to the elite area in Bastion. You can loot the chests even after you’ve aggro’d the mobs nearby. You can do so anywhere as long as you aren’t interrupted. Korthia just flat out blocks you from even trying, which really sucks and creates an atmosphere of toxicity among players trying to get to the needed items.
Especially when they pull a lame-o tattered scrolls like thing wanting not 12, but 20 now.
And the treasures don’t always drop the stupid chits.
I’ve pretty much resigned myself to never getting that stupid quest done in any reasonable time-frame.
It isnt tho, because while youre climbing that branch after clearing the mobs, a DH double jumps, grabs it, and it despawns.
Yeah this is definitely a bit frustrating. I’m usually happy to pull mobs and fear them so that I and other players who may not have an AoE CC can loot the treasure while the mobs are on me but not interrupting me. I really don’t even mind terribly if those other players don’t help kill the mobs after, I still got the treasure.
But in Korthia it’s just a sucker’s game. The person who pulls the mobs probably isn’t going to be able to loot the treasure the mobs were around.
You actually can’t use an invis pot if you’re already in combat. No clue why, but it doesnt let you
Or worse, a lock just puts a gateway up there and snatches it before anyone can get to it. Grappling hook doesn’t work in nearly all places in Korthia, but locks get to put their gate anywhere? How in the bloody hell is that fair?
FWIW, I just was able to loot treasures like the mawshrooms and stuff while in combat, so it may have been stealth changed
