Coffee drinkers, HELP!

Folgers :confounded: That’s the first issue.

If possible, grind your own fresh beans (I do it every morning.) And also, if the bitterness bugs you, either get a cold brew system, or use a french press.

Kicking Horse is amazing

I think I first tried it from a friend who bought the beans green and roasted them himself. I thought that was a bit too much work for coffee, but it really was great. Roasted, ground, brewed all in the same morning. He was hardcore.

Make cold brew coffee the night before. Less acidity, less bitterness.

Coffee is subjective and may take a few tries with different kinds to find what you like best.

I used to buy beverages for a living and always get a kick out of the belief that Dark Roast has more caffeine. Nope. Don’t believe it. Dark roasted means the beans were roasted or cooked longer and that burns much of the caffeine away.

The lighter the roast the more caffeine concentrate in it.

Have fun with it. A 4 cupper you can brew small batches and find what ya like best.

Good luck.

I drink Starbucks brand Keurig cups from a big box from Costco

Go to a Starbucks with a Clover machine. Get a Jamaican Blue made in that. Pure coffee bliss.

Also, OP, go to Winners or Walmart and grab yourself a coffee press - you can make yourself a single cup without having to waste anything!

And you wont have that gross folgers after taste if you use your own

Arabic coffee beans tend to have a less bitter taste… They tended to be on the more pricey side of the coffee…

Also google mystic monk coffee…
You’re welcome

I put enough sugar and cream into my coffee to the point where I decided drinking pop was more healthy :stuck_out_tongue:

Saying that there is so much you can do to impact your coffee. The bean you buy, how it is ground, and how it is brewed. One trick I do is adding a dash of salt to the coffee grounds to make it less bitter.

Keurig are great if your goal is to fill up the landfills with plastic as quickly as possible. :frowning:

That is why I always drink my Keurig coffee through a straw and use a styrofoam cup. Also a little plastic stir rod and my cream and sugar are in individual packets.

in all seriousness, though, you should try a french press. Very affordable, can do small amounts at a time and super easy to use.

Exactly. The strong smell is what brings folks in and the sense of smell is another facet to marketing their product.

I only drink hot coffee when i am out of Cold coffee - Moka so so
But you can try to put milk or Almondmilk or some kinda creamer in it
or heck even water or sugar

I use my metal straws as I sip and mind my business in between recycling and giving alms to the masses try it

My advice is to keep trying brands til you find one you like. If you have a local company that makes their own coffee, that’s a good place to try it out.

This is a local coffee place that makes their own. This is one of my favorites, but they have many, many flavors.
