Sorry but I’m glad this addon is coming out and it’s actually the sole reason I decided to join in on classic. Not everyone is great at talking and making friends and this addon gives me hope of finally being able to do some dungeons this time around. Why do you guys want to destroy something that genuinely helps people?
I’m one of the few in this thread who would know better. You think I hit server first Druid in Wrath/Cata by being a casual? I mean c’mon, you’re waaaaay outclassed here.
Did you miss the part where they said “if it displays information in a way that’s more comfortable for you, that’s exactly what addons are for”? Which is literally what the addon does? And the fact that the question specifically mentioned “grouping addons”? I mean, I quoted it up there, and it’s literally what we had been saying in defense of the addon prior to Blizzard making that statement.
No addons were mentioned by name, but it’s clear that they knew what was being referred to. What other addon right now is causing such a divide in the community? What other addon is causing arguments between automation and the simple view of information?
Going back on my word just this once…
I call bull, you and 100k other folks who claim server first… If you really are then you would have no problem posting on that main, else shut your lying trap.
YOU CAN LOOK AT MY ACHIEVEMENTS HAHAHAH
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/malganis/Plaguelust/achievements/feats-of-strength
LOL.
The fact that they’re on an alt doesn’t stop you from seeing their achievements. Click on their character, view profile, look at Feats of Strength.
Realm First 80 Druid and Night Elf
Realm First 85 Druid
Realm First Magic Seeker
Realm First Conqueror of Naxxramas
And you guys wonder why the simplified view of information would be a benefit.
No see that would break the “Spirit of Classic” because back then, forums didn’t allow anyone to back up any claims so anyone could be anything they wanted and that was part of the experience
At the time stamp posted (~1:30:00), that wasn’t said. So yes, if it was said somewhere else it was missed because you didn’t reference it properly, burden of proof is on you.
The addon specifically does the messages for you.
It’s automating as much of the LFG process as they can get away through only dabbling with chat. So it’s more than you’re letting on. Whether that enough for Blizz to flip the switch is another question entirely.
I’ll be honest, it is difficult for me to take anything you say seriously. You seem to be over compensating for something. Also your hyper, non provoked aggression makes you come across as juvenile. Perhaps you should take a break from the forums and come back when you can discuss things like an adult.
Just so you know the auto invite and talents nonsense has been removed. You will still have to talk to people to get into a group. This is intended and should not change. I’m sure you can find a guild to make these social aspects of the game easier on you. Good luck!
Cheers,
Loq
That’s nice.
Wait, you didn’t play Vanilla did you?
As do a host of other add-ons and handcrafted macros. I can literally make you raid assist in my raid and have you be the one broadcasting all messages and raid warnings from my boss mod that you don’t have.
Combining a bunch of accessible API functions doesn’t suddenly make it worthy of breaking. And to break it, you’d have to break quite a few other things.
ill wait till it becomes lfd, at that point expect 3/5 groups you get into by using the add on, to have that vanilla purist user to use his alt ninja loot those items sell them and hop back on his main.
you’re going to have people who will go out of their way to ruin the majority of add-on users experience. Will i do it lol no thats just beyond time consuming, and turning on master looter in order to try and stop it
expect them to start making the groups.
So how is this ninja purist going to know anyone is using the add-on? Why would this ninja purist want to be the exact kind of toxic community member that drives people to guild exclusivity and add-ons like this?
Oh I mean if you want to be like the anti-addon people of Vanilla that just got blacklisted and ignored, by all means. No one was expecting toxic imbeciles to be any different.
Don’t worry, he didn’t play vanilla.
We all know the automated part and the talents aspect will not be in Classic.
This addon has elements of retail wow’s dungeon finder and replicate some of its visual elements.
The whole reason we have classic is because so many people hate retail and what the fast food mmo genre did to vanilla.
In short, an addon was released that reminds players of one of the downfalls of modern wow.
I literally posted an add-on that lets you inspect talents in game. Haha
which elements does it have?
For 1, it uses the exact same player symbols as the dungeon finder and counting functionality.
That wasn’t in Vanilla, but you wouldn’t know. You will not be able to inspect talents when Classic goes live. Sorry man but you will need to be super edgy about something else. I’m sure someone somewhere is really impressed.
