If you’re going out LOOKING for PvP, there’s not much of a complaint. It’s probably a mild positive (more people to fight but you have to watch and make sure you aren’t about to get swarmed). However, it’s impossible to do anything else but that if you are Alliance currently. Cool, I guess, but players still need gold, PvE gear, attunements, etc.
Me and my pally buddy locked down all the water elementals in EPL today for like 3 hours and got all the essence of water he needed for his hide of the wild in one sitting. I think I got 30 HKs worth about 2500 honor. Why would you not be looking for pvp when you are on a PvP server? That’s the whole point of playing on one… you compete for resources…
The toxicity of people that play this game today is 90% of the problem.
This isn’t the wow I played 10+ years ago. Toxic behavior will the be the demise of this franchise. Shadowlands doesn’t even look appealing so this is pretty much the end for me. Unsubbed and uninstalled for good.
Then you most likely weren’t fighting 2v4, which is the pop imbalance. Also, you have to get to EPL without getting slaughtered off of the FP. Look, fighting for resources is cool in a vacuum. Having to get 10 people together and fight for 30 min just to get from Chillwind to Scholo isn’t exactly super fair when the other side basically gets the run of the world.
I played retail for like 1 month you dumb idiot
Oh I died when I landed, and then rez’d and died again. And then the third time I spawned a group of alliance rolled in from doing Strat and we steamrolled the 5 or 6 horde that were camping LHC… then I died again after they left… then I left LHC and didn’t have any issues.
People who play on pvp servers should be required to play open world pvp survival games like Conan, reign of kings, and rust… that’s what playing on a PvP server should be like. Head on a swivel, always being prepared and being aware of your surroundings.
It’d be fine if both sides were having to fight like that. It’s imposing a time tax on Alliance that Horde don’t have to deal with. Like I said, if you are always looking for PvP, it’s probably a mild positive to be able to land anywhere contested and be fighting immediately. However, people have goals in WoW that are necessary to complete that are outside of PvP. If it were TBC, I’d honestly love to be outnumbered. I did almost nothing BUT PvP because you could get great gear just for being great at PvP(don’t get me started on the R14 no-life ToS abusefest vs. Gladiator…)
Gladiator suffers from completely different issues. Win trading, carries, comp stacking… don’t even get me started. It STILL suffers from those same issues.
You are being dramatic. Where are you getting camped? Who actually thinks they are entitled to farming areas? You have to compete for those… if they are being held down bring a bigger group and work together. Everyone’s trying to run around solo and whines when they get butt stomped by a group… make your own group or go to less densely populated areas.
So what I have gathered is you have barely played wow, probably are a kid, and don’t really understand what you seem to be okay with.
Remember this when 2 months from now you are sitting in 90 minute BG queues because there are no alliance left on PvP servers.
We are getting cross realm BGs
“It’s not fair so I quit”
When facing adversity remember to always quit! That’s what champions do!
with CRBG all the alliance on pve/rp servers will queue into pvp server horde. probably won’t be any queues.
Maybe I’m wrong - but I thought Xrealm was going to work like old battlegroups - meaning PvP servers will be lumped together, PvE servers lumped together, and RP servers lumped together.
They can’t stick people from RP servers in with PvP servers… it ruins their immersion…
if its just pve servers together my queues will be like 30s because most of them, except mankrik, are alliance heavy. XD
Like I said, I really don’t care. Landing at EPL and having 5 UD rogues (not exaggerating, this happened earlier) waiting is a tad bit cancerous, but it’s just a tax on my getting to instance to start farming. I just know how absolutely stupid it would be if I had to go to BRD/UBRS right now. Luckily, I’m beyond that point.
Also, just to comment on what you said, win trading was only relevant for Top 5 teams, carrying someone to Gladiator was STUPID hard (you’d better be a god tier player if you are carrying to Glad in TBC arena. 1850 was pretty easy, 2000 was quite a bit harder). Comp stacking occurs in the ranked system. At the end of the day, you still had to be a non-drooler to get a full set of s3 gear, even if you paid for a beast player to carry you. R14 is literally a measure of how long you can sit at a PC.
but you admit that it also is not an accurate way of determining who is the best because people literally reroll to classes that are stronger for that specifically right? At least in classic you can get R14 on any class, especially once BGs come out.
Look I get dying sucks… but when I get ganked, I run back and spawn as far from my corpse as I can, mount up instantly and get away. It’s really not that hard, and dying isn’t that bad.
Blizzard started balancing the game around arena, which should never have happened. The game has never been built to be balanced… and that is literally opposed to the game being about class fantasy and each person bringing something different to the table.
Arena is what started the homogenization of classes and class balance. And now we have the dog pile that is retail where every class is a button mashing spend/builder where you can’t solo a healer.
You can’t mount in BRM and the rez timers get prohibitive if you are truly being camped by a raid. Spy has made this so much worse. TBH, without Spy, it wouldn’t be as bad.
If everyone is playing a few classes, the best players of those class will still end up on top. I got 2400 in 2’s playing Destro/Ret (Lulz) in S3/4, when those specs were trash. Every spec was gladiator viable, tbh.
Anyways, I just feel bad for people that are just getting to 60.
you’re 49… you’re honor less to 60s… come back when you’re 54
Bring a LIP to BRM, jump in the lava, get over dying and running back. CC who’s ganking you, travel in a group… there’s many ways to avoid dying and at the end of the day… dying isn’t that big of a deal in a game that has 0 repercussions from dying in PvP.
