leave the game, no one will miss a whiner
I’ve already posted I don’t want merges. I prefer to know the top names on my server, and actually have community.
Mergers are a likely outcome without new content, though. That’s just the way these things go.
That must be why you quoted me.
We’re still at the start of this version of WoW. I’d prefer they go a classic+ route. Have the team actually work on the game later on rather than jumping into retail.
Though I wouldn’t mind BC later on. I actually preferred the expansion over vanilla, however I always liked vanilla as well. But it’s not really a choice were I given both options.
If they did that, large chunks of pop would still be leaving the servers that remained regular classic, and merges would likely happen.
But server merges are a reality for any MMO with something like discrete servers - folks get bored and leave.
They can merge smaller pop’ servers with like servers and it’s not too bad. It’s thoughtless merging I dislike the idea of.
This is what puzzles me when people say they don’t want to reroll because they don’t want to do “it” all over again. If you don’t enjoy “it” then maybe Classic isn’t for you.
If you like taking your time and enjoying each thing as it comes, then you’re one of those players that gets Classic.
The game isn’t dying at all. Many of those players that left your server came to mine. They went to other servers.
Your server may die which would be ironic since Blizzard insisted on mega servers for the express purpose of keeping servers “healthy.”
I told you so. I told you way before Classic launched that this would happen.
You sound like one of the 'WoW isn’t dying" shills from the retail forums (you know… like when before Classic came to the rescue and made WoW relevant again)
A game that isn’t reasonably fair and reasonably fun will not survive in 2020. Consumers are way too smart for that.
If we did what osrs did we’d be doing classic+ not tbc/wotk. Personally I think classic+ is the only good path forward.
except those aren’t the premises that classic was made on. classic+ is a terrible idea. the exact opposite of what people wanted. classic will lose players, yes, all mmo’s do, but the ones classic loses are the ones who shouldn’t have been playing it in the first place. it’s not for everyone, and that’s ok, trying to make it so it is results in retail.
Shout…shout…let it all out. These are the weebs that Im talking about…
I think classic+ is best handled privately (it should re-emerge) and that tbc is what we’ll get
I feel the exact opposite, tbc should be handled privately and we need to get classic+. If we do TBC is gives reason to do wrath and wrath gives reason to do cata etc eventually we’d get to BFA or worse.
I would def’ want them to stop at Wrath were they to wish to do it. However I myself would love to play BC.
Fair counter but dont you think Bliz is already counting that $$$ for tbc…
TBC’s sub numbers had more to do with vanilla’s popularity than tbc’s. Look at private servers theres a good reason tbc was never as popular as vanilla servers. It had far more downgrades than improvements. Many of which ruined aspects of the game.
I wouldn’t say so. The dungeons were hard and also looked and felt dope (Shattered Halls though), yet were rewarding. Same with raiding. This caused slow progress, but it was steady. Quests and dailies, never ran out of stuff to do. They release another one of my favorite races, Blood Elves. Which are there with Undead and Night Elves.
After BC the expansions sped up, that goes for Wrath too. Which is an amazing expansion. When they launched BC everything was still fresh in their minds, and they branched off of vanilla. You take forever getting from 60-70, and still had fresh leveling content for your next alt as well. BC was rough in difficulty, and I think that pulled us together. I miss that feeling, we get a little bit of that right now in classic but not nearly as much. Probably because it was new, like vanilla was originally. But I feel if they released the content again, it’d still be harder than what classic/wrath has to offer.
Hell, even got arenas for PvP players. For those older players, we had Chuck Norris jokes daily. Remember those? lols
BC had something for everyone to do. It was dope, and I can’t see how people talk down on it constantly.
Worst thing about it was some of the class balancing, but hell. They could rebalance them if need be for all I care.
Ok Doomer.
no, there’s no reason to do cata, it defeats the purpose of classic, the other two don’t.
