Are you prepared for people who play retail to start voting in polls for Classic? Because that’s going to happen.
If the poll happens in the official forums and is linked to accounts, they’ll know whether or not the people responding play classic or retail. They’ll have all that data available and would be able to filter the results based on people’s play habits.
It would be easy for them to see, here’s how people who play mainly retail answer the question, and heres how people who play mainly classic answer the question.
No. BC added things that were necessary to WOW. Most notably, BC did an excellent job of addressing spec viability without sacrificing uniqueness. There were far fewer dog!@#$ specs in BC than in vanilla, and every class still had a role to fill.
Um no…and no.
I sincerely doubt you have the expertise to make that assessment, dude.
You want the people who have developed BFA to add content to Vanilla?
LOLOLOLOL…
Comon man…
No we go back to classic and start over again. Or just skip to panda.
I’d like to see tmog added. But do it so it doesn’t ruin economy
No thanks. . I am very happy to get TBC and WOTLK!!
Thanks
Classic should not be adding anything that wasn’t present in true Vanilla. They’re not about to start up a whole alternate timeline for the game.
(Eventually, it might be interesting to add BC servers, etc., in addition to the “pure” Classic ones.)
Edit: Oh, and I would like to point out that there is overlap between classic and retail players. See, some of us love WoW, period, end of sentence, whatever version it is.
I disagree, TBC WoW is best WoW.
It would impact Classic servers to have separate TBC/Wrath, the population would lower, maybe even dramatically.
I think OSRS has a PROVEN, and very successful model of ‘new’ old content, and listening to the playerbase before moving forward with ANY of the decisions on new content.
The proof is in their pudding, and OSRS surpasses Runescape by a country mile, and continues to have a thriving community. I hope Classic WoW at least acknowledges that success model, and maybe incorporates it down the line.
I’d be interested in seeing new content. But I would want the game systems to stay the same. Keep it vanilla you know, but maybe add new gear for new content.
I don’t mind either way. I do have to wonder though, what happens when everyone is clearing Naxx?
So…the option to open up separate TBC/Wrath servers is unacceptable because it would take people away from Classic. But forcing Classic players who for over a decade have wanted nothing more than the Vanilla experience to have to deal with new content in the game they wanted preserved as it was…that’s okay? That’s a crock.
Classic and OSRS aren’t the same thing; they’re not intended to be the same thing so people need to stop with this comparison. Just because something works for OSRS doesn’t mean it works for WoW.
LFG is fine as long as it’s restricted to your own server.
Id be ok with this as long as they eventually move forward with BC and then WotLK abilities/talents. So many defining abilities came out during those expansions (unstable affliction, shadowstep, vampiric touch, etc)
Personally I’d like to see the classes updated so Palis can be more then just buff bots.
OP, you should head on over to General and ask for WoW 2, since that’s what you really want.
Just the immersion of the game. Tmog was the second worst thing they added to the game after Raid Finder. If they do Tmog - it should stick to your local client only.
Nah, I’ll take TBC or Wrath servers over classic any day of the week, thanks.
