OP is trolling. Classic never had flying. Flight was a STAPLE of WoW from TBC and forward. Flying was never an issue until blizzard made it an issue and tons of pro fliers will play classic with no expectation of flying. As absurd as your post is it can only be trolling.
Its sad when you think about it, that they could not implement flying into the game without it ruining a core part of the game for a large portion of the player base.
Same as weâve always handled it. Pay the flight master.
Give him a bit of silver he sends you to the flight point you choose. If you have been there(on foot) to unlock it ofc.
Whatâs there to handle again?
The only complaints about flying are NOT about Flying itself, but how you acquire it later on in the game. The ONLY anti-flyers I have ever seen are the trolls trying to get a rise out of people. Flying is a mode of travel, we didnât have it in vanilla, and I can live with that.
Itâs also important to think about if a zone was built for flying or not for flying. Putting flying in a no fly zone will break the zoneâŚjust like removing flying from a zone built for flying also breaks the feal of the zone. You need flying in zones that were built for it and for it not to be in ones that were not designed for it. Nothing in classic was designed with flying in mind.
The question confuses me. If people are complaining about flying in modern Warcraft, why would they have to âhandleâ anything in Classic? Itâs not going to be there - problem solved, nothing else to talk about.
Flying exists! Flight masters!
Okay, that was too obvious. Classic is more about player interaction, and personal flying mounts removed a lot of that⌠It is too easy with flying to skip tough areas. Who recalls STV with that gorilla who patrols near the bridge? Thatâs just one of hundreds of examples. Simply getting to BRD can be rough, even at 60!
I donât see the big deal about allowing flying in classic at level 60. Retail allows it but only after gating it behind a bunch of work. Same as classic- the leveling is a ton of work and to allow flying at 60 seems like just deserts.
It comes down to perspective really. People who have only played wow post cataclysm are going to find the movement tedious the same way that people who came to WoW at launch from a game like Everquest are going to find it convenient and fast paced. I.E. âItâll take 10 minutes to get to ratchet from the crossroads to tag the windriderâ will either sound like an frustrating slog, or a refreshingly quick jaunt.
Anyway, classic wasnât built for flying. Thereâs a reason that classic didnât allow flying until cataclysm. The zones were full of big flat empty areas where zones were on the map, but not in game yet. You could get to a lot of them by wall jumping. If you could fly in vanilla the world would look terrible.
