Yeah, they were all over the place in the first week or so after it was announced.
Also there were people asking for flying.

I already know that. Still not going to play classic.
I figured that was just people trying to troll the no change people.
Fair enough
Some people legitimately do not understand the difference between private servers and classic.
Why canât they both be right? Classic will fail and BfA will die! I read it in an ogreâs diary.
I donât think thats it, because private servers didnât have flying, and all the popular ones tried to be as close as possible to the real thing. Pretty sure most of it was just trolling.
Better hope they donât do that. Thatâs the one surefire way to kill off classic faster. Gonna be splitting a very meh player base across 3 versions of wow.
It wouldnât end well.
Yeah I have no interest in playing classic, but if they did a Wrath server, Iâd jump on that. Youâd be adding players, not just splitting them.
Android >
PC >
Star Wars >
All undisputed facts and anyone that disagrees with me smells of elderberrys.
Youâd be adding some players for some time. Everything they make you have to consider the initial flood and then the phase where people leave a bit later on.
3 versions of wow would make very, very small communities with what little they have left if the tinfoil hat wearers are correct on sub numbers (doubtful).
Still, there is only so many hours in the day and youâd have to pick and choose which version youâd wanna play that day and it would show overall between the 3 versions.

I couldnt agree more OP.
I am a WoD baby I have grown into loving this MMO. My first was SWTOR which will always be in my heart.
Since playing WoW, I have heard numerous stories from friends and guildies and strangers alike of the amazing and beautiful stories of Classic and other expansions. I always listened attentively. Respected other people game play and never put down someone simply because they are new or an elitist. I always root for the underdog and took a fine line to not take sides and realize we are all human and we are all gamers at heart.
Our memories and games we played are playing will never die! Thats a lie whoever is making up these threads. I refuse to be a Debbie downer thank you.

Also, the journey is in the past. There is nothing to discover. Most players are planning on leveling fast and rushing to end game. Once thatâs over, itâs over.
Youâve never played Vanilla.
Are you seriously trying to tell me youâre going to keep farming that last raid for years?
For serious players, the lifespan of the game will be shorter than the original, because (as I said above) there is nothing to discover or explore. Everything is already known.
A lot of those who are looking forward to showing off their raid gear to admiring throngs will be disappointed to find that people donât care as much about gear. And only so many will be at the top of the heap. Some will be very disappointed to find that due to circumstances beyond their control, itâs somebody else who got that gear first.
Doom sayers. Thatâs all it is. This is how you know a MMO is at a make or break point. Server mergers. When they start merging servers together to cut the count in half, or more, you know thereâs trouble. In rare instances it happens because they want to bolster low population counts but in most cases itâs to cut down on how many servers they have. Servers ainât cheap. Cost cutting is an effective way to prolong a gameâs life.
Did you plqy private servers? Cause thats a gate right there many have to cross. I play free games too and enjky it like swtor dossnt mean i Will ever sub to give them mkney.
Until you get bored, like you are with retail. Then you will quit it also looking for something with more draw appeal to it to play. This is why the fan fair of classic wont last forever, it will have a quick peak then a slow decline, leaving only its die hard of fans at some point of time being the only really active full time players.
Wake me when the MoP servers roll out.
