Sadly I don’t think OP is trolling. Titan forging is one of my least favorite things in modern wow. I see the problem that he’s trying to address, but let’s keep titan forging far away from the game.
ZG still doesn’t have titanforging so outside mount collectors (bad players) no one will do it after out gearing it.
Titanforging is a large part of why I quit retail.
Such a system has zero place in classic.

There are always people doing lower tier dungeons and raids because power level isn’t directly tied to item level like today.
Also by that time many people will have started an alt and they need to gear that up.
I played on a Pserver for 5years and I can tell you that one tons of high geared players host dungeons and raid to help gear up friends and friends alts.
